Damsel in distress

Avery was sweating profusely when she was done. Sebastian didn't hit her hard, like he said. Instead, he went easy on her.

"I'm afraid I'm going to grow muscle doing this training," Avery said breathlessly, and Sebastian chuckled because of her words.

He couldn't help but admit that Avery was improving with each passing second. She is going to do well.

"You aren't going to grow muscles but instead you will be able to defend yourself, and of course I will always be there to protect you," Sebastian declared.

Avery's heart raced in her chest, and her eyes scrutinized him, watching the way he rested his back against the ring.

"Are we going to call it a day now? I'm already tired and thirsty."

"Take." Avery raised her hand and caught the bottle of water Sebastian threw towards her.

"Drink that and stand up. We aren't done yet, woman."
