Chapter 37- Getting Help

Two weeks later

“How is Emma?” Ryan asked his dad when he came to his apartment to see him. “She is doing well with therapy and slowly getting back to her old self again,” Austin Sr. said taking a seat.

“And you, my son? How are you doing?” Austin Sr. asked noticing the blot-shot eyes and weariness in his eyes.

“Beyond frustrated but coping,” Ryan answered honestly.

“Well, hope is here. God must have answered your prayers. Your mother and I have been looking at your contracts and agreements all night,” Austin Sr. stated enthusiastically.

Ryan's eyes lit up because he was running out of time so this news was optimistic.

“We found a loophole that can give your investors a big part of their funds back and for you to start over,” Austin Sr. explained.

Ryan was overcome with emotions that brought him to tears. Austin Sr. embraced his son and held on to him for the longest.

“Dad, thank you,” Ryan said teary eyes relieved this nightmare was ending.
