Confessions

Emma sat next to Ethan on the park bench quietly composing herself. She was happy he did not push but held her hand the entire time. Being with him and around him was a breath of fresh air. She was glad this time ended differently and her distaste for parties was changing.

“I am so sorry for overreacting,” she apologized.

“You have nothing to be sorry for. Please never apologize for your feelings,” Ethan indicated squeezing her hands gently.

Emma smiled holding his hand. “I have something heavy to confess,” she admitted.

Ethan swallowed feeling in the pit of his gut that this was not good.
