Seeing Her Again

Noah hugged his mother and sat down to have midday lunch with her. He promised his brother and sister they would catch a movie and shop at the mall. He loved the moments he got to play big brother and anticipated a family of his own one day. Riley and David eagerly dressed to spend the day with their brother.

“I’m so happy you are taking them out,” Katlin smiled pouring her son a glass of homemade punch she knew he loved.

“My pleasure Mom. It will help me clear my mind and have some fun,” Noah said taking a cookie from the table.

“What’s going on?” Katlin asked concerned. Noah was still waiting for the right time to tell her about his biological father wanting to see him.

“Camille and I broke up,” Noah admitted.

Katlin's eyes widened at Noah’s confession.

“Wow, I am surprised. I was praying that her hold on you would be broken,” Katlin admitted.

“Really Mom. You were never a fan of Camille,” Noah reminded her.
