Figuring It Out

Noah was miserable the next few days trying not to allow the dinner with Imani and Pastor John McDonald to bother him. They continued to talk however she was trying to figure out if she should pursue a relationship with Pastor McDonald. She told him they were going out again tearing his heart apart.

The idea of Imani with another man was sending him crazy. He found refuge in God's word, prayers, work, and conversations with Imani. Hiding his true feelings and allowing her to see another man was the hardest thing he ever did. Noah was frustrated but yet mindful that she needed his friendship. Noah needed her to be sure she wanted to be with him. He sat down to review his work report when he heard his phone buzzing. Noah was alert when he heard Imani crying on the other end. Immediately he grew protective of her.

“What’s wrong?” Noah asked pacing the room.

“Would you come and get me?” Imani requested to send her location.

Noah was confused as to what was happening.
