It’s Not Even The First Day

"We're happy to have you on the team, new First Year rep!"

"We hold council meetings every end of the week but you can come to the council room during breaks to just relax and have a cup of tea."

"It's so amazing to meet you! I've heard so much about you and I'm a fan. I can't believe we'll be working together."

How the hell did I win?

Ísar smiled tightly at his new fellow council members, not at all sure what had just happened.

He'd been called up on stage as a nominee, and waited for the other candidates to follow suit. He'd heard some of them talking about participating before he'd even nominated himself.

Except there were no others. He stood on that stage alone and stared at the room full

of his year mates who looked up at him. He saw awe, jealousy and genuine curiosity on the faces of them as they stared up at him.
