Reunion?

Doron felt speechless at the moment.

There was too much happening, too much for him to take in.

Regis saw this and figured that he must be tired, "Well old man, I still have things to do so just get out of here by yourself."

His words snapped Doron out of his daze.

'O-Old man…?'

He was in the middle of his thirties, but he was now way an old man!

However, seeing Regis about to leave, Doron managed to utter three words, "Your friend… Dahlia!!!"

Regis's pupils constricted at his words.

The image of a girl with shell-pink hair and pale-pink eyes vividly appeared in his mind.

It was his turn to be speechless.

Grrrmmmmm—

However, a loud rumble caught their attention.

The two of them looked up and were shocked at what they saw.

A massive demonic circle that was even larger than the whole of Toran City manifested as rivers of demonic power flew towards it.

Regis instantly rushed towards Doron.

"Your name…"

"Wha—"

"What's your name?"

The urgency in his voice was obvious.

"Doron, I've been taking care of Dahlia…"

"Thank goodness."

In his blurry sight, Doron could see the crying boy in front of him.

He looked so little…

…so fragile.

That he didn't emit any of the aura of someone who had just killed demonic humans earlier.

Doron couldn't believe his eyes.

"Is she okay??"

"Yes. She's hiding in our inn…"

"Listen, Mr. Doron. I know that we've only met but can you please make sure that Dahlia is safe? Please take her and get out of here."

"How about you? Dahlia had always talked about you. Can't you just come with us?"

Regis shook his head.

"I still have something to do. Please make sure to keep her safe always. I have to go now."

Doron felt the seriousness in the boy's voice.

Therefore, he respected his decision, "I will. Don't worry."

He could also feel the ominous demonic power from him and knew that the situation was complicated.

Still, remembering the longing expression in Dahlia's face, he shouted, "Wait! Even if you can't meet her now, you can still do so in the future!"

Regis looked back at Doron with an unsure expression on his face.

In all honesty, he hadn't really thought about what would happen in the future. Heck, he didn't even know if there would be a future.

Doron noticed this and threw out something from his pocket.

Regis caught it and saw that it was a metallic insignia which depicted a shield and a war hammer.

He couldn't put his finger on it, but it seemed vaguely familiar.

"That's the insignia of my family. You can use that if you ever run into any problem within human territory."

"If they recognized that insignia, you can just tell them that you're a friend of Doron Grava."

His words made Regis widen his eyes.

Doron smirked as he saw this, "You're the same age as Dahlia, right?"

Regis nodded.

"Then you still have a few years left."

His words confused him.

Not waiting for him to ask, Doron continued speaking, "I'm planning on letting Dahlia take part in the Admission Tournament of Grandella Academy when she turns 16."

It took a few seconds for Regis to digest everything that he heard.

"Understood. I'll see you in Ligera in a few years." He smiled as he responded before taking his leave.

Thud—

Doron sat on the ground as soon as Regis was out of sight.

"Fuck, what a monster."

He had really exhausted all he had.

"Still… Dahlia was right."

Doron saw it personally. A talent that far surpassed anyone that he had seen.

"He's even more talented than the king's daughter. I wonder what expression they'll have when they see him."

Doron felt lighter as he imagined their shocked expression.

What amazed him more was Regis and Dahlia's unbelievably strong bond with each other.

"But, not to mention Grandella Academy, how will he enter Ligera with that ominous demonic power he emitted?"

Doron asked himself as he sat on the ground, unmoving.

***

"Just a little more…!"

The demonic struggled as he kept his arms raised in the air.

He tried his best to hastily complete his evil craft before the body he was occupying completely broke.

"A little more and I will be successful!"

However, something caught his eyes as his expression grew dark.

A golden line could be seen in the sky.

As if it was cutting through the endless darkness of the moonless night.

It continued towards the demon's position in high speed like a meteor made up of golden light.

Woooong— Arghhh!!!

The demon let out an inhumane groan as a large laceration appeared on his side.

In front of him, he could see a woman.

Her blonde hair and golden eyes seemed to emit a radiance of holiness.

The cloth she was wearing was like that of a mix between a robe and golden armor while her sword was covered in black blood.

"You're finally he—"

Shuikkk!!!

The demon wasn't able to finish his words as his head flew in the air.

The woman appeared behind the demon in a flash.

"Kukukukuk!!! I didn't expect Ligera to send one of their strongest Executors! I'm pleased to meet you, Anna, the Executor of Justice!!!"

Shing— Shing— Shing!!!!

Anna's face remained calm as her sword smoothly grounded the talking demon head.

"Haha!!! You're too late!! You know that no matter what you do, it's useless!"

Anna frowned a little as she turned her head.

She could see a large mouth on the body's back grotesquely talking.

Shing—

A flash of golden light instantly erupted.

And as it faded, all that could be seen were dust on the ground.

Swoosh—

"It's useless haha!! I won!!!"

A black ball suddenly rushed out from the dust and flew away at high speeds.

"Tsk. He escaped."

Anna clicked her tongue, annoyed at the amount of the demon's preparation.

Still, she didn't go after him.

No, it wasn't that she didn't.

It was that she couldn't.

Anna calmly looked at the demonic circle in the sky that had already fully materialized.

"This is going to be a little troublesome…"
