Metal Hand Goblin
A week has passed
"Where are the hell are the Herb dogs in this area, Leon?! For over an hour we already explore this whole layer one forest" Tall full armoured player with big axe frowning as she tired from walking for too long.
"They supposed to be in this layer of forest, Sophie...in this three layered forest, only in first layer the herb dogs would roam as they can't go to second and even third layer as the monsters in those two area is stronger than them, and at night like this they supposed to be active". An elven scout with bow and dagger as his weapon confused by unreliability of his information in this situation.
"We should gather ten of their pelt or we can't finish the quest, I don't have time for this useless walk in the dark!". wooden staff wielding healer named Jack scratching his head in frustrated state as his leg become more tired.
These three member party are exploring the first later of Phantom forest to complete their quest without knowing what their about to witness.
"Hey, are you smelling something rotten here?". Jack the healer look around with his head to find the source of the smell.
"I can't smell anything, maybe because of this helmet I'm wearing". Sophie the warrior start to open her full helmet.
"Yeah, the smell become stronger as we walk". Leon the scout chopping the bushes as he walk to the direction of the rotten smell.
The party finally arrived at the place where the rotten smell is at its strongest.
"H-hey keep your voice down! There are three Herb dog going in circle as if they searching something". Jack immediately crouch in the bush.
"Finnaly we found them, but it feels there's something wrong with them...". Leon crouch down with Jack and Sophie follow him
"What are you waiting for?! We gotta get them before they disappear!". Sophie getting impatient as her preys are appeared right in front of her.
*Snatch*
Suddenly a dark green color creature like Herb dog fur fall of the tree and land on one of the Herb dogs and immediately snatch it and dragged the Herb dog to the top of the tree in less than a minute.
"Wha-what is that?! A goblin?!". Sophie open her eyes wide.
"What just happen... it happen so quick". Jack unconsciously open his mouth wide.
"There's no creature look like that in the guide book...is there an update we passed?" Leon begin to open his guide book in his floating tool bar.
When the last Herb dog snatched the party finally turn their lantern up to the tree where the unknown creature gone.
"Are all of those hanging things are Herb dogs?!". Sophie look up with wide eyes.
"This is just straight out of horror movie...did I just played a wrong game?". Jack shudder and feel the tremor in his body as he can't handle horror stuff well.
"There's gotta be at least fifty corpses there...are we encountering a hidden boss?!". Leon look around cautiously to find the creature that he thought was a goblin even though he know there's no goblin in Phantom forest.
After 15 minutes of looking around for what they tought as goblin like hidden boss that seems disappear and not attack them, Leon ask Sophie to start chopping the tree to get the Herb dogs corpse to get the pelt and finish their quest while jack waiting to skin the herb dog with his trembling hands and cold sweats.
Meanwhile in Ray's point of view
"I smell three people there but i'm pretty sure i didn't get recognized with my get up and it's just too dark to see clearly". Ray immediately move far away from the place where the three people were.
"With my eye that adapted to the dark environment, they seem to have an big red axe called Red Boar axe and a green long bow called Elven Wind bow, quite a high level weapon...." Ray recognized their weapon easly because it's some of the weapon he designed.

"For a week I'm trying to increase my agility by dodging the dogs without attacking them until it feels like im playing with them...". Ray sitting in a branch somewhere in first layer of Phantom forest.
"In day three i tried to eat the dogs meat, it taste so horrible and make my stomach hurt even bring down some of my HP. But eventually after I eat the Maruk fruit after eating the raw meat, the fruit erased the horrible taste in my mouth and healing my stomach." Ray surprised by the overly sweet fruit's effect to the body
His taste buds became more adapted to the horrible taste of raw meat, but it's not the one surprised him the most.
"My smell detection skill seems like acquired from eating the piece of raw Herb dog meat and one level increased after less than a week eating it, but the skill increased more significantly if i closed my eyes for the longest time and just rely on the scent that catch my nose." Ray begin to be able to differentiate Herb dogs scent and the other monsters scent.
Blood bat, and Stone snake, the other monsters in the first layer of Phantom forest got eaten to by Ray, giving him Sound radar from Blood bat and Stun eye skill from Stone snake.
"This ability to take one of the monster skill seems like special to the one who spent his life in the wild and act like a beast, some kind of hidden title reward [Phantom Goblin], even though I'm a human...Is the admin messing with me?!". Ray frowning and throw the meat in his hand.
"I want to advance to second layer of this forest, but the entrance seems to be guarded by the first layer boss, Ripper Phyton, the 30 meter snake with stone crushing hug and heat sensor, making my erased scent and night's darkness seems useless, even my Stun eye skill can't stunt that snake because of it's higher skill compared to mine"
"There's no way other than attacking head on and rely on my agility to doge it's attack!". Ray begin to run straight towards the big snake and jump.
"Hisss!". Ripper phyton make an S shape with it's neck and launch towards Ray with mouth open full of sharp karambit like teeth.
Ray successfuly dodge it and land his grip on the snake's neck near it's head but something unexpected happen.
"It's scale is so tough! My level ten Bite and Claw skill just manage to make shallow wound!". Ray surprised while he struggling to keep his grip in the snake's neck while the Ripper phyton wiggle as hard as it can.
Ray thinking of a strategy in his head while his body being rag dolled by the snake, hitting the hard ground a couple of times.
"My HP will gone if this keep up! This is risky but i can't think of another way to wound him enough to defeat it". Ray let loose of his grip and jump far in front of the snake.
"even though if a player died, their item will be fall in the place where the player died, I don't care about it because I got no item in my inventory, I just didn't want to get banned for 168 hour and get summoned in the town's hospital where i forced to meet other player..."
The Ripper phyton began to make it's head towards Ray in frustration because it can't bite Ray a while ago and open it's big mouth again and jump to the standing still Ray.
"It's all or nothing!". Ray standing and wait for the right timing while he's holding his breath, he then jump towards the big snake's mouth without letting it bite him and go straight to burry himself its throat.
He immediately burry his leg's nail and scrathing the snake's throat both with his claw skill, making a flood of blood
"I only got two minutes to hold my breath here, I have to dig outward to take a breath again". He move his hand frantically with his claw still making a more and more lethal wound as he cut the snake's carotid arteries wich making Ray close to drowned in blood.
Two minutes has passed and Ray still didn't make it to outer world, "No...I can't die like this...".
He almost fainted but the Ripper phyton's scale begin to tear and Ray's hand managed to rip it apart wider to make him able to get out of the snake's neck.
"Hahhhh.hahhh....hahh...hahh, that was a nightmare...". Ray lying down in the ground with Ripper phyton twitching beside him sill flowing blood out of it's neck.
"Chomp".
Suddenly Rays hand got into the snake's jaw and got ripped off from his body.
"Aaaaggghhhh!!!!!". Ray screamed his lungs out and rolling in the ground while his left hand gone
The Ripper phyton using his last strength to take Ray's hand and finally breath it's last breath.
Ray immediately rip his clothes of and tie down his left hand to prevent more blood loss while he endure the extreme pain.
"What the hell... I'm so stupid that I thought it was over....". Ray still tending his left arm"

After that, he pull the snake to the top of the nearest big tree and eat it forr dinner, eating as much as he can to help him bring back his exausted energy.

"I got Heat sensor skill after eating the Ripper phyton, nice... I don't know if it worth my left hand though". Ray with full stomach chewing his last bite of Ripper phyton meat while sitting on the branch watching a sunrise.

"Hmm, maybe i should build a forge here and make myself a prosthetic arm, its nice that i can make a base here, but for that I have to go to town and buy an anvil and othe blacksmithing tools...". Ray thinking how to go to town without anyone recognize him.
He then begin to skin the Ripper phyton's head to make it his helmet and take the skin to sell and he also bring his many Herb dog's pelt to sell it too.
With his new Ripper phyton skull helmet, Herb dog fur cape, and Ripper phyton skin as pants, he begin his walk to the town barefooted and his abs showing.
Once he arrived in yhe town's gate all player exept the NPC giving him a strange look.
"Is that a new NPC? He look like if a goblin and kobold have a child". One of the player said.
"He walked pass me and i thought he's gonna smell like shit, but apparently he smells like fruit scented perfume". A mage player said as she walk with her friend.
"I'm glad I take a bath at the river first and dip myself in Maruk fruit and some forest herb dilluted water so it doesn't make my skin sticky". Ray make a smug face under his skull helmet as he walk toward adventurer guild.
"It's nice to see my designed weapon to be carried by many people in this town". Ray opened the guild's door while smiling.
The receptionist NPC didn't bothered by Ray's get up and just giving Ray service like the other player, he begin to get the Herb dog's pelt and Ripper phyton skin to sell while the other player stared at him with awe as a mountain pile of Herb dog's pelt grow bigger.
Many wishper surrounding the adventurer guild but Ray didn't care and take the money given by receptionist and go out to the next destination, the balcksmith shop.
Sword, axe, war hammer, halberd, bow, knives, and many more weapon and armour can be seen hanging in the wall and glass display, some of it are designed by Ray himself.
He begin to ask the blacksmith for blacksmithing tool such as anvil, hammer, tongs and many more to build his own blacksmith workshop in the Phantom forest.
Ray visited a bookstore to buy a fire and wind magic book and get those book's skill to do blacksmithing easier.
Once he's done with his shopping, he walk towards Phantom forest with his new blacksmithing tools in his inventory.
Ray started to activate his claw skill and begin to dig into the ground when he arrived at a tree near Ripper phyton respawn, he choose this place because the snake can act like an alarm once a player got to near it.
A wide room build by digging a square shaped hole an placing many stone in the ground, wall, and ceiling to erased the dirt look in his room.
He used the inner of the tree as a chimney that connect straight to the ground with a clay spreading the inner tree to prevent it from burning from the inside, and two other trees also carved its inner layer and holes at the top of the tree to act as a ventilation.
The blacksmithing tools are placed once the interior done, this whole process take a week, faster than in real life to get best result with just relying on his one hand's Claw skill.
A week's worth of digging and wind magic training result

After sketching his prosthetic arm design with build in retractable short sword, he then preparing the materials to build it.
With the metal named mythril that stronger than steel he brought at the blacksmith shop, he begin to light the chimney with small fire and add a strong wind to make the fire high enough to make the mythril shapeable.
When the mythril glowing bright yellow, he pull the mythril form the forge chimney with tongs and put the tongs in fixed in table clamp because he can't hold the tongs and hammer at the same time.
He put the metal on top the anvil and bashing it with the hammer to shape the metal with his design in mind.
Hours passed with some time to rest when he logged out for some time to eat and drink and get back wearing his Thopi helmet to login, Finally after making many parts for his prosthetic arm, he begin to assemble all of it.
From the tiniest bolt to the hand and retractable short sword, he make it to look like a shoulder to finger armour, he also add claws to each of his prosthetic arm's finger to see if he can use the claw skill with his fake arm.
Ray standing at the mirror he brought from the town, with proud look he giggle a little while playing with his retractable blade that can appear with a push of wind magic.
In his underground base, he happily make many poses with his new weapon until the morning comes.
