Unexpected delay

As the hours slipped away, Kat and Hanna got ready for the party, it was just a little get together to bid farewell to Kat from the set, after her last cast in the movie.

Kat exuded confidence in her ensemble, donning figure hugging high waist denim jeans paired with a vintage white corset top. Her jet-black hair was styled in a chic half-up, while half-down look, secured with a delicate white ribbon. loose waves cascaded down her shoulders, framing her face.

Meanwhile, Hanna looked elegant in a pale peach fitted dress, her blond locks flowing freely. Both of them dressed casually, they anticipated a relaxed evening among some friends and acquaintances.

After arriving at the location, they make their way into lavish suite, upon entering the little party, Kat was greeted with cheers and applause. Warm embraces and heartfelt exchanges ensued, a testament to the bonds formed during the filming process.

The party went on with buzzed with laughter, music, and clinking glasses. Colorful lights danced across the room as friends and colleagues mingled freely, sharing stories and laughter in tribute to Kat's contributions to the project.

The party was only a little gardening not more 30 people or so, like any other party, they where dancing and having conversation. However, Kat wasn't much of the dancer and and stayed by the bar, it wasn't often she got to relax and drink, she continued ordering drinks "miss Kat I think you might be reaching your limit" the bar tender said, flashing her a awkward smile, but she only started at him blanking "an..other one" she said swaying on her sit.

Hanna had kept an eye on her just in case, when she noticed Kat's stumbling gait and slurred speech, realizing she had overindulged. "Ugh..Here we go again", Hanna muttered under her breath and sighed. She walked over to Kat. "It's alright I will take it from here" Hanna said to the bar tender and he nodded with a smile.

With one arm wrapped around Kat's waist and the other steadying her shoulder, Hanna guided her out of the party. Hanna bid goodbye to everyone, including Alex, who was looking after Amey, passed out on the table.

Taking on the role of the responsible driver, Hanna didn't drink much throughout the party, she already expected Kat would end up drunk.

The drive back to the mansion was quite, at least most of it when Kat wasn't mumbling something. Kat was slumped in the passenger seat occasionally murmuring, eventually they arrived back to the mansion, Hanna carefully parked the car, she shook Kat awake, " wake up Kat" Kat groggily opened her eyes, momentarily disoriented before realizing they had reached the mansion.

"We are home " Kat yawned, Hanna rolled her eyes, "yes we are home, can you walk?".

The drunk Kat stumbled out of the car "walking... Walk. yes I can... I walk" Hanna shook her head "and held her before she could hit the ground "why did you drink so much when you know, you have low tolerance for alcohol" Hanna nagged, Kat grumbled "I.. didn't drink much" she protested in her drunken state "hmm yeah, I can really tell" Hanna responded sarcastically.

Emma who had been anxiously awaiting the girls arrival, rushed out to assist Hanna and Hannah ushered Kat inside.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they reached the top of the staircase, the soft glow of the hallway lights, lighting the way to Kat's room. With a collective sigh of relief, they helped her into her room. Tucking her into bed with care, "well I'm beat, I will be going to my room now" Hanna said and Emma nodded "good night my dear" she wished. After Hanna left, Emma switched off the lights shutting the windows to keep the cold out. " Good night dear " she said in a hushed voice before exiting the room, the door shut behind her with a slight thud.

Kat stirred from slumber the following morning, with a throbbing headache, thanks to last night, she couldn't remember everything that happened yesterday but just little fragments . Slowly, she peeled open my eyelids, greeted by the soft glow of dawn filtering through the curtains. With a soft groan, "ugh my head" she tried to piece together the events that had unfolded.

Images of laughter and clinking glasses danced through her mind as she recalled a bit from last night. Despite the blur of intoxication, she could remember Hanna helping her out of the party.

Just then, Miss Emma entered the room carrying a bowl of soup, Her warm smile greeted Kat, "Good morning dear" she chimed warmly, setting the tray before kat with gentle care.

Kat returned her smile, "Good morning, Emma," Kat could feel her head throbbing with the small sentence she said. "How are you feeling this morning?" Emma she asked, she walked over to the windows pulling the open.

"A little tipsy, but nothing your amazing soup won't fix," Kat responded with a grin. Emma chuckled softly, "You seem to have had quite a wild night. Remember to take it easy, dear. Your health is important," she advise.

"Yes I'll be fine, Emma" Kat assured her, a faint smirk tugging at my lips. "Your hangover soup, works wonders."

Another soft chuckle escaped miss Emma's lips, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad to hear that, dear. Just remember to drink plenty of water as well," she added with a wink before excusing herself.

As Kat savored each spoonful of soup, she couldn't help but reflect on how lucky she was to have Emma in my life. Despite the loss of my mother, she had been a constant source of love and support, filling the void with her unwavering care and kindness.

After finishing the bowl of soup, Kat made her way to the bathroom to freshen up, the warm soak of water revitalizing her senses. As she dressed and descended the stairs, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted her, mingling with the savory scent of bacon and eggs. Hanna was already seated at the dining table, engrossed in a magazine.

With a graceful poise, she sipped her coffee, her gaze flickering up to meet Kat. "Good morning Kat, how are you feeling?" she asked, her tone casual but still showing a hint of worry.

"Much better now, thanks to Auntie Emma's amazing hangover soup," she replied, flashing a warm smile at Emma who was serving them breakfast. "You are very much welcome, dear," Emma said with a smile.

"Thank you for yesterday; hopefully, I didn't cause you too much trouble," she said, turning my gaze back to Hanna, before taking a seat at the table, Hanna scoffed, setting her magazine aside. "It was nothing I'm not used to" she responded smiling, "Besides, it was a fun night. We both needed a bit of relaxation."

Emma served Kat tea, while she ate Kat squirted her eyes, catching sight of the magazine cover, and she smirked. The cover of the magazine was Kat dressed in a nude maxi dress, a radiant smile gracing her features. Despite the pounding in her head, a surge of pride swelled within her at the sight.

Hanna noticed the smug look on her face and rolled her eyes, Kat couldn't resist boasting a little. "Well, would you look at that," she remarked, nodding towards the magazine. "Don't I look magnificent, I still manage to steal the spotlight, don't look at me too much Hanna you might just fall in love with me, though who can blame you" Kat joked

Hanna engorged her as though she hadn't heard anything. " Hey now don't ignore me!, you should be happy to be able to see me everyday" Kat scoffed.

Miss Emma, shook her head "Oh, Kat, you and your undeniable greatness," she teased, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

Hanna chimed in "Forgive me your Highness, I'm worried if stare at your majestic face I might loose my sight" Kat waved her hand "it okay, you are forgiven" She tried to hold back her laughter "Ah, well, what can I say? It's a tough job being this beautiful, but someone has to do it."

"Yes we know, oh also have you started packing for your stay at the lake house?" Emma asked, Kat shook her head "no I haven't but I still have a lot of time to do so" Kat responded "alright. But are you sure you would be fine alone there sir wouldn't be around to stay with you this time, perhaps you should postpone It until your sir returns from his business trip" Emma suggested, but Kat sticks insisted "that could take a year, besides I know my way around the lake house, and I'm old enough to take care of myself, don't worry Emma It would be fine I have had some renovations made to the lake house for my stay and everything is well set, trust me". Emma didn't insist further, "okay dear" The dining room was lively through the rest of breakfast.

In the next past few days, Kat's schedule had been a whirlwind of activity, with commercials shoots and tons of events demanding her attention. Yet, amidst the chaos, she had managed to navigate each obligation with a sense of calmness, determined to get passed her schedule and have the rest of her time to relax.

The morning unfolded, Kat was packing her thing preparing for a much-needed retreat her family's lake house cabin, a sanctuary nestled amidst nature's embrace. Hanna assisting her in gathering her belongings, ensuring she had everything needed for her trip. "Are you certain you packed everything you could need?" Hanna asked looking around for anything they might have missed, "Um, I think so," Kat responded, still not sure her movements growing more frenetic as I rummaged through my belongings. Then she realized she forgot something and she hurriedly retrieved her laptop, along with a flashlight and power bank for emergencies.

"That should be all. Do you need help packing?" Kat asked Hannah, already prepared to help, Hanna was also going home. Now that Kat would be away for a few mouths, Hanna would be able to take a break also "no I already packed it all" Kat nodded.

However, as the day progressed, it became apparent that Kat's plans would be affected, with last-minute business-related tasks, so she had to move her drive until the later that day.
