~The Dragon's Curse~

As I stood there on the ledge, the wind whipping around me, I felt a pang of doubt. The dragon's curse was a powerful one, and the legend of it was well-known. Many had tried to uncover the curse and failed, and those who had succeeded had suffered horribly.

But I couldn't turn back now. I had come too far, and I needed to know the truth. So, I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and began to chant the ancient words.

At first, nothing happened, and I started to fear that the curse wasn't real after all. But then, suddenly, the wind picked up, and the clouds rolled in, casting a dark shadow over the landscape. I felt a chill run down my spine and realized with a sinking feeling that the curse was very real.

The ground started to tremble as the dragon's curse took hold. I felt my strength draining from me, and an overwhelming sense of dread washed over me as I realized what was happening.

As the curse intensified, I heard a voice echoing from within my mind, whispering in a language I couldn't understand. It was the dragon, warning me to turn back while I still could. But it was too late.

With a sickening crack, the ground under my feet gave way, and I descended into a dark abyss. I felt myself falling, falling, falling, not knowing if I would ever reach the bottom. The last thing I saw before total darkness enveloped me was the image of the dragon, its eyes shining with a strange light, as if it knew exactly what was going to happen.
