Chapter 12: Arrival

Right after I exited the Jump Point, I saw a ship in space and it seemed to have a portion of it explode and I saw some Skrull soldiers being sent flying from the ship.

Seeing this, I knew that Carol had escaped and was going to be headed to the Escape Pods soon. I knew I'd have to get onto Earth before that happened.

I activated my enchantment to make my ship invisible and flew into the atmosphere of my old Home. I stayed invisible and waited for the inevitable crash landing of Carol.

(20 minutes Later)

I saw the escape pod falling and disintegrating during reentry. I followed it quickly and saw Carol falling, I followed with my ship and watched as she fell through the roof of a Blockbuster.

I slowly dropped, using my Ruler's Authority to fly, onto the roof and then watched as she asked for Information from the rent-a-cop. After she went to the RadioShack, I used an illusion to make myself look out of place and had my Scythe on my back in open view and went to talk to the same guy.

He was still in shock and staring at where Carol went, when I knocked on his window.

"Hello are you the guardian of this area?" I asked, laying on my Asgardian vernacular very thick. It wasn't hard, I had lived as an Asgardian for over 100 years, I had just learned to change up my speech if I needed to.

"Uh, yes?" He replied once again confused.

"Haha well met, I am Erebos, Crown Prince of Asgard, have you come across anything strange or not of this land this night?" I asked.

Still confused he nodded and pointed towards RadioShack.

"Thank you for your help my friend. For your troubles." I said as I tossed him an Asgardian coin.

I then walked over to the RadioShack and saw Carol looking through a bunch of electronic equipment.

"Hello fellow warrior!" I said joyously.

Carol automatically shot a photon blast at me which I managed to deflect with more difficulty than I expected. Captain Marvel really is very strong.

"Wait!! I mean you no harm. I am Erebos, Crown Prince of Asgard. I happened across your crash while I was here visiting Midgard." I explained quickly.

"Asgardian? I haven't seen one in many years, name's Vers." Carol said still not putting her glowing hands down.

"Yes, I was hoping to find something fun to do on Midgard when I saw your crash." I explained.

"Well, I don't have time to play tourist with you. I have to contact my team." She said.

"Ahh, I see, would I be able to be of help in this task?" I asked.

Carol seemed to be in thought.

"So your the Crown prince huh? Got a ship?" She asked.

"Yes of course." I replied.

"Alright if you want to help, can you give me a ride back to Hala?" She asked.

"Hala? Ahh, you must be a Kree. It is of course no issue in taking you back to your home." I replied.

"Perfect, I just have to finish contacting my team then we can leave." She said.

I waited and we talked a little as she was juryrigging a pay phone to contact the Kree.

While she was doing that I had confirmed that it was 1995 as everything that had happened so far, coincided with the time Carol ended up on Earth.

By the time Carol had finished setting it up and completing her call, it was already the next day and Fury showed up with a bunch of agents. He was looking at Carol and I strangely.

"Excuse me, do either of you know anything about a lady and her Armored friend who blew a hole through the roof of that Blockbuster over there? Witness says she was dressed for lazer tag and he was dressed for the Renaissance fair" Fury asked as he looked us up and down.

"Oh, yeah. I think they went that way." Carol said sarcastically.

"Vers, do you know these mortals?" I asked

"No I don't. And since we don't know what they are talking about we should get going." Carol said as she stared to walk away, I followed.

She was stopped by Fury.

"Uh I'd like to ask you some questions. Both of you. Can i see some identification please?." Fury said pulling out his S.H.I.E.L.D. ID as he stepped in front of Carol and looked at me warily as I had a weapon on my back, not in a joking mood.

"As he said before, I'm Vers, Kree Starforce. We don't carry our identification on little cards." Carol replied jokingly.

"I am Erebos, Crown Prince of Asgard and I also do not have what you call an identification." I added, laughing hard in my head at pretending to be ignorant.

"Vers? Starforce? And Erebos? Prince of Asgard? How long you plan to be in town?" Fury asked, obviously thinking we were crazy or something.

Before Carol could reply I spoke up.

"We will not remain on Midgard long, we have to stop some Skrulls as she called them, and then we will leave."

"Yep, we have to track them down before the infiltration gets any worse." Carol added

"Skrulls?" Fury asked as he laughed.

"Shapeshifters, they can transform into any life-form down to the DNA. Oh boy, you guys don't have a clue so you?" Carol said as she started to walk past Fury.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. How do we know that neither of you aren't one of those Shapeshifters?" He asked sardonically.

"Congratulations Agent Fury, you have finally asked a relevant question." Carol replied.

"No! Congratulations to you both, Starforce lady, and your highness. You're under arrest." Fury said as a cop with cuffs was walking up to Carol.

Just then, Carol saw a disguised Skrull with a gun on the roof. Fury heard the gun charging up and was pushed to the side by Carol as it shot at them. I threw my Scythe at the Skrull but barely missed. Carol immediately rushed after the fleeing Skrull as i flew up to the roof and chased after it from the rooftops.

Using the telepathy, I told Carol that I was chasing the Skrull on the rooftops.

Fury and a disguised Skrull were in their car chasing after us as well.
