I stared at Professor Alaric's lecture, barely able to keep my eyes open as he droned on about magic ruins and circles and some other ancient language literature.... His class was mostly for those chosen by the Arcane.

But to me, it was mind-numbingly boring. Even though everyone else was listening attentively, I couldn't muster the same enthusiasm.

I glanced at Selene, who sat beside me, diligently taking notes. Not just one, but two sets of notes.

'Hmm? Two notes?' I frowned and silently asked her why. She replied with a single word, "Ether."

She really loves him... Damn, I never thought she was really into him. I watched her for a moment, feeling a mix of surprise and admiration.

Then my eyes landed on Kai, who was sitting with the other guys. He seemed to be fitting in well. Suddenly, our eyes locked, and I immediately turned my head away.
