"Where are we going?" John asked, his voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of apprehension as he followed Kai, Aqualina, Vesperine, and Timmy.

Aqualina glanced at John, her gaze cold and calculating.

This was the same man whose face had been disfigured by Selene, the same man who had used his servant to harm Aether, spread the cruel nickname "Princess's Lackey," and even tried to manipulate her.

John, whether it was coincidence or fate, had ended up in her team... So, she took him to their search.

"To find the clues," she replied, her voice steady, though she couldn't hide the disdain she felt for him then she looked at Vesperine who guided them to the top of the building.

Vesperine led them up the winding stairs to the top of the building. The air grew colder with each step, and Kai, who was sweating profusely, looked like he was harbouring a guilty secret.
