Mother-in-law's Thoughts and Awkwardness: Part-1

Emberlyn always slept beside her daughters... Even though she didn't necessarily want to, her daughters would always plead with her to sleep beside them so they could feel safe and happy.... And though she often sighed in resignation, she could never bring herself to refuse them.

However, no matter how much she doted on her daughters, she could not bring herself to sleep on the same bed as the Emperor.

He was, after all, her son-in-law. And though he was now part of the family, she still respected him deeply—so deeply, in fact, that she instinctively maintained a certain distance.

And so, as always, she chose to sleep on the floor, right beside the bed.

But today, something shattered that routine.
