Chapter 1. Eternal Tournament

The two horses rode through the streets of the cities.

"What exactly are we doing here?" Adair asked.

"Participating in the 'Eternal Tournament'!" Yog answered.

"And why. Aren't we hunted by everyone!" Adair replied.

"Money!"

"You do everything, just for money, don't you?" Adair said.

"Well, i need to pay someone... And also we can test your skills!"

"You trained me for only two days! I won't be that much better than before!"

Yog didn't replied.

"And also your arm is broken! How do you want to fight!"

"Ok listen, i get that you don't want to participate, but you decided to follow me!"

"Yes, yes... So where exactaly is this tournament?" Aider asked.

"In this big hall up there!" Yog pointed up the street towards a giant house.

---

The hall was full many people where there to watch or participate in the tournament. And Aider was in the first match.

She was already on the fighting ground. Her enemy was a young boy named Alden. He was around her size, a bit smaller, and had short blond hair.

The tournament rules said, that they should fight without weapons, so Aider wasn't wearing her sword.

"Let the fight begin!" the narrator screamed through the hall.

Aider instantly jumped towards Alden, kicking him down.

He tried to stand up, but she didn't let him.

She hit him in the face. He raised his hand: "I give up!" he shouted.

"Already?" Adair asked confused.

Yog's fight was pretty similar. Their opponents were very weak. After all this was just the first round of a tournament known all over the Darklands.

After their fight Adair and Alden spoke a bit with each other and befriended themself, Alden's friend, a man named Castro, was Adair's opponent in the next round.

But for some reason Yog felt a kind of fear, that didn't seam to disappear. Something was wrong here.
