Kaleb shrugged, his tone casual.
"I don't know. Might take an afternoon. The company commander and the instructor are inside. Let them enjoy themselves, right?"
The squad leader frowned.
A female soldier behind them sighed in disappointment.
"What about our training?"
"Come back another day," Kaleb replied, stretching out a finger and pointing at a group of female soldiers as if selecting a gem from a pile of stones. He finally pulled his hand back and raised his eyebrows.
"Besides, you're not going to the battlefield. Skipping half a day of training won't matter."
At first, no one objected.
Most of them were indeed headed for logistics. Their physical conditions weren't exceptional, and few had any hope of entering a combat unit. They didn't take it personally.
