Invitation to the Awakening Test.
After Ana and her father got home, he had a fight with Ana, and now she was definitely grounded. Her father had increased her magic training time to three hours a day, plus two hours of physical training, four times a week.Ana was indignant and didn't understand:
"Physical training, what kind of physical training is that, Father?"
Her father tries to control his anger and explains:
"The physical training won't be at home, it'll be somewhere else, here's your official invitation, I've already accepted it."
He hands the invitation to Ana, who still doesn't understand:
"Invitation, invitation to what?"
Her father explains:
"You've been invited to participate as a Support in the Awakening Test, you'll join Luke Becker and Justin Becker, you'll be responsible for helping them, then you'll train at their house with Mr. Han Becker, 4 times a week."
Ana puts her hand to her head, she's incredulous about what she's hearing, and speaks:
"No, but I didn't say I was going to help anyone, is that the Test you told me about before we changed parents? No, there's no way I'm going, I could be killed in that, no, I'm not going to take part in that circus of horrors, I'm not."
Her father definitely looks angry now, and shouts at Ana:
"Quiet Ana, you don't have to want anything, this is the least we can do, for the stupid thing you've done today, where have you seen going to the police station, I don't want to listen to you anymore for today, by the way give me your notebook, you're not going to write anything else, you're just going to concentrate for the Awakening Test now, and go straight to your room, I'll take you to your physical training, I'll be waiting for you at the school gate on the proper training days!"
Ana doesn't see any other way, she already knew that she was going to have to hand in her report card, she is so annoyed, that she turns her back and goes up to her room, and ends up slamming the door, but she knows how much her Parents get annoyed with this kind of behavior, her Mother goes up the stairs soon after and opens the door right away.
"Ana, I don't allow you to slam the door, and you can leave the door open, no one in this house keeps their doors closed, go take a shower and go to sleep, there's no point in rebelling, it's already been decided!"
"Okay, thanks for consulting me about...Good night, Mom."
She mutters quietly:
"That stupid test...because I have to go."
Ana had a bad night's sleep, she couldn't sleep properly, she couldn't shut off her thoughts, too much had accumulated in her thoughts, not everything she thinks can be said, especially at home, the only place she managed to have a voice was at school, but for now she doesn't feel like talking to anyone, mainly because she feels she made a mistake, accusing the boys, without really knowing what it was about.
She goes to school early but feels very sleepy because she hasn't slept well, and goes to look at the Guild Election Dashboard, and finally realizes that the current President and Vice-President are Luke and Justin Becker, she feels even more frustrated, how can she compete with them, if she needs to help them with the Awakening Test now, so for now she decides not to get so involved with the Election campaign, she's out of her mind, but how will she get out of it now? Mainly because there are other people involved, she spends the whole morning quiet, on the way out of the school she meets Scoot, and he asks her to deliver some more leaflets, she takes the leaflets and thanks him, but doesn't know what to say to him, she puts them in her backpack, as she is leaving the school gate, her Father honks the car horn, she immediately thinks:
("What, are we supposed to start this boring training today? Really?)
She goes out to the car, greets her father, and he drops her off at the gate of the Beckers' house. Ana waits for him to leave, to run, because that's what she wants, but her father waits for her to ring the intercom, she looks at the high walls of the house, not all houses have walls in Rivecity, she stares at the walls while she thinks.
(Damn, I can't run, and these walls, why the hell are they so high, how could I jump over them without breaking my legs?!...Damn...you think I'm being such a coward...okay, I'll ring the intercom.)
Ana rings the intercom, she introduces herself and a moment later the gate opens, Ana says goodbye to her father, and enters the gate, as soon as she takes the first step into the house, she feels something different, like a pressure on her body, but she doesn't remember having this feeling last night.
"Is that Protective Magic?"
Mrs. Becker is waiting for her in the entrance hall of the house, she has black hair and blue eyes, she greets her and asks Ana to accompany her, Ana always remains polite and friendly even though she is not on her best days today, she goes to the second garden of the house, it is very large, there is a lot of training equipment, and very high walls, and a specific place that seems to be ruins, there is Mr. Becker, Justin and Luke. Han Becker, Justin and Luke, already training, she greets them, and turns to Mr. Han Becker, then he introduces himself.
"Hello Ana, welcome, I'm Han Becker, but you can just call me Han, I'll be your trainer from today, by the way thank you very much for accepting our invitation, to participate as Team Becker Support, for the Awakening Test."
Ana saw him briefly last night, she couldn't quite make him out but his hair is blond, but there are already many strands of gray hair, and his mustache is turning gray too, so she deduces that Luke pulled his father, and Justin his mother.
Then she takes a deep breath and tries to speak:
"Oh, the invitation...of course...thank you, I'm...it's..."
Luke stops his training and for the first time pays attention to Ana, her hair is brown, she wears a bob cut, and her eyes are the color of almonds, a beauty considered normal, he notices a certain discomfort in her, so he decides to tease her:
"Well, for someone who talks too much, can't you formulate a sentence today?"
Ana lowers her head and counts to 10.
