"I was so happy last night that I slept for a while, then I got up and couldn't fall asleep again, playing with my toys until the sky started to brighten," Mumu whispered. An Lan twitched her brow upon hearing this, realizing she hadn't slept at all until just recently.
That little girl didn't turn on the light when she couldn't sleep at night, playing with her toys in the pitch-black bedroom. She's quite brave.
"Brother stayed with Mumu, so Mumu wasn't scared," Mumu said as if she knew what An Lan was thinking, promptly spilling the beans about her brother.
An Lan hadn't expected Chaoyang to be involved and looked at him in astonishment. Chaoyang cleared his throat.
"It was Mumu's birthday, so I thought I'd keep her company for a bit longer. I didn't expect to fall asleep myself. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw Mumu playing games by herself, so I played with her for a while before falling asleep again."
