Huo Zhanting didn't say anything; he just held An Lan tightly in his arms. His rapid breathing and his own racing heart, both proved his unease at the moment.
"I'll take better care of myself next time," An Lan hadn't expected that merely standing outside for a while would actually make her sick, and even cause Huo Zhanting to worry about her.
Huo Zhanting softly grunted and held her as if embracing a precious treasure regained. Two minutes later, he remembered to have the family doctor check on An Lan. The still half-asleep doctor, with bleary eyes, checked her temperature.
"Thirty-seven point two degrees, there's a slight fever, but the temperature has dropped, and it should break by tomorrow." Upholding professional ethics, the family doctor struggled to stay awake as he spoke.
Huo Zhanting nodded, gesturing for the doctor to leave.
