268. Spirit Torch_1

The only difficulty the frost tide encountered was when it neared the fortress.

The Winter Wolf at the forefront had not realized what had happened when it leaped into the area illuminated by the Spirit Torches,

and in a moment, the Winter Wolf burst as if it were hit by something sturdy and penetrated, with flesh and blood splattering and its half-transparent, ice-like bones falling to the ground.

The Winter Wolves fell one after another.

More Winter Wolves were killed by the brilliance of the Spirit Torches, yet even more came surging in succession.

Their flesh froze in a moment, forming a splendid and radiant forest of ice, but this did not stop the advance of the Winter Wolves.

The silver tide thinned out considerably, but it continued to approach.

The light from these Spirit Torches formed another silver boundary line, holding back the frost tide slightly.
