At this moment.
In the boundless heights above.
Amidst the vast sea of stars, the brilliant stars silently bore witness as a lone planet drifted through the solitary cosmos.
Its path followed neither any known nor unknown astronomical laws; its very mass twisted space-time, altering the fates of countless other planets.
When it passed by the outer edges of some stable star systems, its tremendous gravity forced changes in the orbits of the planets revolving around their stars: some planets were torn apart, while others were pushed from their usual paths, growing colder or hotter.
Some already chaotic binary and trinary star systems underwent massive changes due to its arrival, either stabilizing or being utterly destroyed.
Yet the planet simply, quietly, moved on.
All the births and collapses of civilizations on the related stars were of no consequence to it.
