952. The Curtain Falls

The flicker of the movie cast light on her face, revealing a somewhat indifferent expression.

"Not bad, at least it lets me watch up to this point instead of turning around and leaving halfway through,"

Lu Ban commented.

"That's good."

Amber responded, not saying much to Lu Ban, but simply sitting by his side, quietly watching the movie.

Often times, people don't need too many words between them. Each doing their own thing, the slight noises they make confirm each other's presence, and that's enough to be reassuring.

For every individual, life is always a solitary adventure, and everyone is just passing through.

But there will always be some who can accompany one for a bit longer.

"I have to move forward,"

Amber suddenly said.

Lu Ban looked at her, but the girl didn't look back, instead staring straight at the movie screen.

As if, by looking back, leaving would become too hard.

"Mhm,"

Lu Ban responded.
