Professor Li was fast asleep with his dog when a phone call woke him up.

Opening his eyes, he saw the golden retriever looking at him with a face full of grievance.

Professor Li pushed the dog's head aside and picked up the phone. After looking at the caller ID, he pressed the speakerphone button and said, "Xiao Ming, what's up?"

"Professor, you better come to the office quick. Officer Jiang has brought people over." Xiao Ming was his Ph.D. student, much like an inner-door disciple, and they communicated quite frequently.

Professor Li laughed heartily: "He's probably here to look at the skeletons, not to arrest you."

"No, he's here for a project meeting."

Professor Li looked at the time on his phone with a puzzled expression and frowned, "Is there a project meeting today?"

"No. I told Officer Jiang, and he said we can hold it now."
