The Lady In Black, Part Twenty-Six

An old warehouse loomed before Zenith and Emi, its worn exterior bearing the scars of time and neglect.

As they approached, Zenith lifted her phone, intending to call Syneris, but before she could dial, a voice cut through the quiet.

"I see you've arrived."

Syneris emerged from the shadows nearby, her presence commanding attention as she strode confidently towards them.

Behind her trailed several other women, all clad in dark armor and wielding an array of weapons ranging from bows to swords and hammers.

Zenith's brow furrowed slightly at the sight, her gaze flickering between Syneris and the armed women.

"You know, if it was a fight you wanted, you could have at least not made me walk so fucking far for it."

Syneris offered a small, knowing smile as she stopped a few paces away, her posture relaxed yet alert.

"Simple precaution, Zenith. Can't be too careful these days, especially with sensitive discussions like these."
