The Black Cat, Part Fifteen

Julia stood at the forefront, her posture tall and unwavering.

Zenith, Asuka, Emi, and Max positioned behind her.

To Zenith's eyes, everyone standing before them was probably guilty. But, because Julia didn't see it like that, they were prolonging the process of Julia removing their knife from her back.

A young boy stepped forward from the group, his expression genuine but tinged with alarm.

Zenith saw how Julia's gaze softened slightly as she addressed him, her tone firm but not unkind.

"We need to talk," she said, her voice cutting through the tension in the air. "We need to know where everyone stands."

The boy's brow furrowed in confusion.

"About what?" he asked, his eyes darting between Julia and the others.

Julia took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead.
