Chapter 230: I’m Leaving, Don’t Search

In the morning, with the sun shining brightly and the weather being fine.

The Luo Family's ancestor, still wearing his blue robe, hurriedly walked through the corridors of the Luo Family.

With a worried expression on his face, he ignored the servants' greetings and continued until he reached a courtyard where he finally stopped.

Luo Cheng stood at the door.

In the courtyard, two figures were sparring, moving up and down, exchanging punches and kicks, occasionally interspersed with some words.

"Master, that person has come again."

Nalan Yanran glanced at the door and saw the familiar blue-robed figure.

This was already the tenth time the person had come.

"Mr. Luo, Lin Xiu's closed-door training has not yet ended. Once he finishes, I will inform him of the situation. Please don't rush."

Yun Yun walked to the door.

"It's been the fourth day. Didn't Mr. Lin say it was just a minor issue?"

Luo Cheng said instinctively.

After the seal was completed, the spatial passage was put into use, but it still had problems.

So, he wanted to ask Lin Xiu for more help.

Fortunately, he was still at the Luo Family and had not left.

"As for the Dou Ancestor's matter, I don't know much about it either."

Looking back at the closed door, Yun Yun shook her head at the old man.

"Alright, I'll come back later."

Luo Cheng sighed.

As she watched the blue-robed elder leave, Nalan Yanran turned and asked, "Master, does sealing the Woeful Poison Body take a long time?"

"There might have been an accident inside."

Yun Yun's eyes showed a trace of concern because Lin Xiu had told her he was preparing to head to the Central Plains the next day.

Suddenly, both of them turned their heads at the same time.

The door to the room opened, and Lin Xiu walked out.

"Where's Xiao Yi Xian? Did the sealing fail?"

Seeing only him, Yun Yun was momentarily stunned, then realized something.

"It was successful, but she got a bit injured and is resting."

Lin Xiu shook his head slightly. "Get some nourishing food and bring it over. After she finishes eating, we'll head to the Central Plains."

As for recovering from injuries, there's the spatial ship.

Since the journey to the Central Plains is long and requires traveling through the spatial wormhole, it takes a significant amount of time.

"Alright."

Yun Yun agreed and turned to her disciple.

Nalan Yanran was a bit stunned, said nothing, and went off to make arrangements.

"Wait a moment, Lin Xiu."

Yun Yun quickly walked towards him.

Lin Xiu stood at the door with a puzzled expression.

"There seems to be another issue with the spatial wormhole. Mr. Luo has been trying to find you these past few days to ask for more help."

Yun Yun stood in front of Lin Xiu, her gaze occasionally shifting to look behind him, her eyes full of curiosity.

"I'll go find him. When the food arrives, take it to Xiao Yi Xian."

Lin Xiu glanced at her.

After watching Lin Xiu's figure disappear, Yun Yun finally stepped into the room.

Even before Lin Xiu began sealing Xiao Yi Xian's Woeful Poison Body that night, there had been strange sounds coming from the room.

The air inside was filled with a faint fragrance—pleasant but making one feel dizzy if inhaled too much.

Xiao Yi Xian was lying on the bed, covered with a light blanket, already awake with her eyes open.

"Lin Xiu told me you were injured. How are you? Where are you hurt, and is it serious?"

Yun Yun assessed Xiao Yi Xian. Her complexion was rosy, her eyes clear. Except for her slightly furrowed brows indicating pain, she looked nothing like someone who was injured.

"A small injury…"

Xiao Yi Xian's voice was hoarse and very low.

"Sealing the Woeful Poison body must have been very painful. I heard you screaming all night that day."

Pouring a cup of water from the table, Yun Yun moved to help Xiao Yi Xian sit up. Xiao Yi Xian instinctively flinched, but Yun Yun said, "Since the Woeful Poison Body has been sealed successfully, it should be fine to touch you now."

Hearing this, Xiao Yi Xian stopped resisting.

Yun Yun's fingers gently passed over Xiao Yi Xian's neck as she helped her sit up and then handed her the cup.

Xiao Yi Xian drank it in one gulp, seemingly very thirsty, drinking quickly and spilling some water from the corner of her mouth, which trickled down her fair neck.

Seeing this, Yun Yun reached out to wipe it.

As both were women, their skin contact was not an issue.

However, since Xiao Yi Xian activated the Woeful Poison Body, she hadn't had close contact with anyone for a long time and instinctively tried to pull away.

Immediately, the thin blanket she was covered with slipped down a bit.

"Those injuries?"

Although Xiao Yi Xian moved quickly, Yun Yun still saw some bruises in the shape of fingerprints.

How could such injuries appear in that position?

"Those are marks left by the sealing formation. They will disappear in a few days," Xiao Yi Xian said expressionlessly, pulling the blanket back up to her chest.

"I thought it was…"

Yun Yun began to speak but noticed Xiao Yi Xian giving her a very dangerous look.

Being scrutinized seriously by a Dou Ancestor was extremely stressful.

She opened her mouth but couldn't make a sound.

Fortunately, footsteps were heard from outside. Nalan Yanran entered first, followed by Luo Family servants carrying bowls of food.

"Master?"

Nalan Yanran looked towards the bedside.

"Just put everything on the table."

Yun Yun quietly sighed in relief, taking the opportunity to withdraw her hand from supporting Xiao Yi Xian and standing up from the bedside. "These are the food Lin Xiu instructed to bring. Eat while it's still warm."

After saying this, she gave Nalan Yanran a glance and walked out of the room.

"Master, what was that about earlier…"

Nalan Yanran glanced back at the room where Xiao Yi Xian was but didn't continue.

Although their relationship wasn't particularly close, they were not strangers either.

However, Xiao Yi Xian had just looked at her with a murderous glare.

"It's nothing."

Yun Yun shook her head slightly, not wanting to explain.

She had initially trusted Xiao Yi Xian's words, but considering her previous tense attitude, there was definitely an issue between them!

Yun Yun thought to herself.

After a while, Lin Xiu returned.

"Can we go to the Central Plains now?"

Seeing him, Zi Yan jumped out to stop him with questions.

"Hmm, the spatial wormhole is sorted out, and Luo Cheng is very confident that there won't be any issues in the future. So, check if there's anything you need to pack and make sure to bring everything with you."

Lin Xiu ruffled Zi Yan's hair. Since she learned that they could find her clan members in the Central Plains, she had been more eager than anyone.

Then, Lin Xiu headed straight towards the room where Xiao Yi Xian was staying. Pushing open the closed door, he was stunned at the entrance.

Everything was as it should be, but one person was missing.

"Xiao Yi Xian has gone out?"

Lin Xiu turned to Yun Yun.

"No, I've been sitting here the whole time. Is she not in the room?"

Yun Yun was initially taken aback, then got up and walked towards the room.

"You go ahead and pack."

Lin Xiu locked her out and walked alone inside the room.

On the table was a piece of paper with elegant handwriting.

Picking it up, Lin Xiu realized that Xiao Yi Xian hadn't just gone out but had left.

"Thank you for helping me seal the Woeful Poison Body. That night's events were an accident. I'm leaving, don't search for me."

Putting the paper back on the table, Lin Xiu wasn't particularly surprised by Xiao Yi Xian's departure.

When he woke up today, he wasn't sure how to face her.

Even before Xiao Yi Xian's odd behavior, Lin Xiu had suspected the Fallen Heart Flame, guessing that the change was related to the fire.

But he had no solution, as he had absorbed a lot of poison gas while sealing the Woeful Poison Body, affecting his own condition.

"Let her go if she wants to leave. My own poison Yuan aperture is already affected."

With Xiao Yi Xian having long legs, Lin Xiu couldn't imprison her.

What would that look like if he did?

Lin Xiu let out a sigh, took one last look at the bed, and walked out.

The paper on the table floated to the ground, was consumed by flames along the way, and turned to ashes.
