Chai Hu and He Xiaomei

Within the concealed estate located in the south of the inner city, every structure adorned with white walls and red tiles, encompassing an area of about a mile, lay desolate except for the courtyard of the Southern Prison Judge, standing solitary in its midst.

A stern black gate, flanked by two stone lions, loomed before it, exuding solemnity and grandeur.

Two Imperial Guards clad in flying fish uniforms stood sentinel on either side of the gate, tall and imposing, emanating an aura of dominance!

To Zhu Youji, these two figures were the epitome of vigilance, exemplifying the dignity and demeanor of the Imperial Guard.

The drapes at the gate symbolized the strength and demeanor of an institution; the individuals stationed at the gate didn't necessarily need to possess great strength, but they certainly needed to be tall and imposing enough to command respect! Only thus could they deter the unworthy!

"Your Excellency!"
