Not to mention Lu's father and mother, even the four elderly people had a very good impression of Fu Yisheng.
He was polite, graceful, and articulate.
The four veteran teachers, well-read and broad-minded, had not given up learning after retirement. It was no ordinary feat to engage in conversations with them.
Fu Yisheng managed to do that.
The four elders and the young man chatted away joyfully, with Grandpa Lu fondly calling him Yisheng every other sentence.
His gifts were also given with perfect measure, not too lavish nor too frugal: two simple boxes of tea, two bottles of wine, four boxes of nourishing supplements, four boxes of Hong Kong's unique pastries, and two vacuum-packed gifts boxes of roasted meats.
"The pastries and roasted meats were freshly made this morning, with no additives, so they can't be kept for long," said Fu Yisheng.
