Chapter 6: Origin Energy

Observing the strand of energy inside his body, Quinn thought of the Qi he absorbed in his 20 years of human life. Although he can absorb it to his body, he cannot store it in his dantian. It was instead absorbed by the orb. "When I was roaming the multiverse back then in my slumber, I was also absorbing various energies, may it be energies from other universes, entities in the multiverse, or from the destruction and remnants left behind by the Chaotic Creatures," he thought to himself.

"Now that I have awakened, I can try to not absorb the Qi to the orb and let it stay in the dantian. But then, this body is actually made of the unique energy inside the orb and is best suited for using it," he concluded.

"I also did not find any of the remnants of the past inside the orb. Even the Qi I absorbed back then seems to have disappeared and integrated with the unique energy," he pondered.

He then planned out his next action, "Next time, I will try making the Qi have contact with the unique energy inside my dantian and see if there will be any significant reaction. If there is danger, then I can just directly hide inside the orb. I should also absorb the Qi into the orb and analyze how it is converted into the unique energy just like the other energies I absorbed before. Maybe that way. I can understand more about this unique energy of mine."

"I should also give a name for it…," he thought. Calling it a unique energy or an energy of creation and destruction doesn't give justify a being of his caliber and to the unique energy. He will give a name for it once he gained deeper understanding of it. After all, the lifeforms he will create should at the very least have a name for it.

Back when he was still a universe, there are different types of energy, electricity, solar, and a lot more. However, if these energies are turned into its purest form, they will become what he had known as Origin Energy. It is the purest form of energy of a universe. When he gained sentience, the moment he saw the energy inside him, he already knows that it is an Origin Energy as if it was engraved in his very being. He then coined a name for it – Aeon. Lifeforms that can absorb Aeon, the purest form of energy, will come to know of its name.

Thinking of Qi, this name should be the agreed upon name by all living beings for the Origin Energy of this universe. Thinking to himself, "The name for the Origin Energy was already decided the universe is born. It is also the basis of power for the powerful beings of the universe."

Similar to Aeon, as the purest form of energy, Qi is the building block of all things in this universe. All things organic or inorganic, alive or dead, or sentient or not, basically all that exist in this universe are made of Qi. That's why the ability to control, absorb, and store Qi is the process of evolution and strengthening. Having more Qi signifies having more power.

In some cases, however, although everything is made of Qi, some are not able to absorb or store it like the rocks, and most non-sentient things. In humans, some are not able to make use of Qi in strengthening their body and surpassing known limits. Although, they can naturally make use of Qi to maintain their bodily functions.

His consciousness returned to the real-world. Quinn lied on the bed and opened his eyes, looking at the ceiling with his human eyes. Thinking about his past life as a universe observing everything in existence and his current life, he had deep expectations for what's about to come. As well as urgency to make his physical body stronger to the point that it can resist the Chaotic Creatures.

Back when he lacked a physical body, he was a mere observer, he only exists in a metaphysical form. He doesn't know how he is able to come into existence, he only knows that he exists but is unperceivable. He can't even interfere in his own universe much less control it, all he knows is that he must follow the natural. What made him unique though is that he developed a sentience and having ideas he cannot act upon. Watching all existence in him but being unable to make contact with any of them, it became his entertainment to observe them, their actions, and what surprises they may bring.

Ending his train of thought, he decided to rest his body first and prepare it for its next venture inside the orb. Meanwhile, he should focus his attention inside the orb and take advantage of its time difference with the outside world. The day is quite eventful, and there are a lot of things that he should do after successfully having a physical body and recovering his memories. Inside the orb, he should first develop a systematic plan from his discoveries.
