A Spark of Potential

As the boy continued to focus on sensing the mana, a radiant glow enveloped him, illuminating the chamber with a soft, ethereal light. Marcus watched with bated breath, a sense of awe washing over him as he felt the raw power emanating from the young apprentice.

Quickly, Marcus summoned Elias and Grayson, along with the other knights, to witness the extraordinary display unfolding before them. They gathered around the boy, their eyes wide with amazement, as they whispered amongst themselves, marveling at the sheer magnitude of his magical affinity.

"Have you ever seen such potential in one so young?" Elias murmured, his voice tinged with wonder.

"Not in common folk, that's for sure," Grayson interjected, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "Nobles and royals may have it big, but they've had trainers and teachers since they could walk. This boy, he doesn't seem to have had that privilege."

"Truly, he is a prodigy," Lisa replied, her gaze never leaving the boy. "With this level of magic affinity, he could become one of the greatest mages Arkania has ever seen."

Marcus nodded in agreement, though a hint of concern lingered in his mind. "It's impressive, no doubt," he admitted. "But we mustn't overlook the importance of physical training as well. Strength and endurance are just as crucial as magic in the face of adversity."

Elias considered Marcus's words for a moment before nodding in agreement. "You're right," he conceded. "We must ensure that he receives a well-rounded education, one that encompasses both the arcane and the martial."

As the discussion continued, the boy remained lost in his trance, unaware of the weighty deliberations taking place around him. But as the mana subsided and he opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by smiling faces, a sense of warmth and belonging washed over him, banishing his confusion and uncertainty.

Creason leaned in, a twinkle of curiosity in his eyes, but before he could utter a word, Marcus raised a hand, signaling for silence. There was no need for words in that moment, for the shared sense of anticipation and hope spoke volumes.
