"What was that?!" Mizuki alarmed by the shriek of a girl coming from the main school building.

"As I would expect... this is a ghost case. Actually, good timing!"

He turns to Mizuki with an excited grin.

"You're not perfect yet but at least you have limbs now, it's time to put them into practice. Keep up with me, This is your first mission"

"Eehhh??!" Mizuki who's now just a vague humanoid shape with stump for legs, arms and head, doubts she can even move much less matches his speed.

"Wait a minut-! You've got to be kidding meeeeee!!!"

She exclaims as Daisuke pulled her stumped hand with him. Whether or not she likes it, she has to move her legs to match his speed.

"W-what if the ghost come after me?!!"

"That's part of the challenge, don't get caught!"

"You're being unreasonable!!!"

"Here take this in case that happen"

Mizuki catch the item Daisuke threw at her with both her stumped arm

"An umbrella?!"

"Don't underestimate that now, I've enhanced it's strength! It can't serve as weapon but you can guard yourself behind it. Well even if anything happen to you it won't harm your physical body so it's a good learning experience"

"Huh... so that's how it is..." Mizuki nods quietly, that statement made her ponder some few things while they're running.

"Still, do not engage the enemy. You just need to train your new body" Daisuke warns her, seeing that Mizuki briefly loses focus after what he just said. Hopefully no crazy ideas cross her head from that bits of information.

Before they enter the school building, Daisuke throws something that stuck itself onto the wall of the building then weaves some kind of sign with one hand. The item, a black sticky blob that sticks on the wall surface starts to throb. At first, evenly and rhythmically but then dramatically intensifies.

"*Tch* This is heavier than I expected..." He mutters to himself after a slight distress upon activating the item he'd set up earlier.

At the fourth floor, the ghost had possessed a young girl's body. A crowd gathered around her as she writhes on the floor, crying out in pain. Two male student with a large build is holding her down while her hand claws at them and everything nearby, even herself. Her eyes bulging from her eye socket like they're about to roll out of it, her mouth agape like she's gasping for air but at the same releasing a deafening screech. As the other female students and a teacher calls out her name, at some point she breaks free from both of the heavy guy and lunges straight at another student in the crowd.

But before she could feel anything at the other end of her claw, she finds herself trapped in a dark room. The large crowd surrounding her earlier had all gone, just an empty hallway. Not for long, just arriving on the other end of the hallway is Daisuke and, apparently Mizuki, who is just a white humanoid shape with barely any facial feature.

"Alright, the kyokan worked, let's go Mizuki kun! You can use that to block her exit"

"Uh uh, okay..?" She complies hesitantly as she's still figuring out how to open the umbrella. While she's still struggling with the contraption, Daisuke disappears into the row of classrooms on the side. Leaving Mizuki alone on the hallway with the possessed girl locking it's sight on her.

"Umm, Kishimoto san? Where did you go?" Mizuki asks out loud anxiously. The ghost having no other targets aside from Mizuki in front of her dashes straight towards her aggressively.

Outside of the dark space as the other humans see it, the girl is just running angrily towards the wall at the end of the hallway. They can't see Mizuki or Daisuke. She stopped on her track earlier giving opportunity for the student of her target just now to evade her sudden attack. But now, having her running free like that with no specific target raises concern of the crowd as well. The female teachers worrying that she might hurt herself or fall off the building instructed the two big boys from earlier chases after the girl.

On the inside, as she passes the halfway point of the corridor, Daisuke ambushes from her right, elbowing her head and smashing her into the window on the left. Breaking both the wall and window.

"Good! It's still in the early stage" Daisuke responds in relief after crashing the girl's head into the wall.

"W-wait a minute Kishimoto san!?" Mizuki understandably shocked at his action.

"Don't worry, look" Daisuke points to a floating line, a thread seemingly made of tiny needles of light, millions of them, an SP link. It comes out the girl's back and traces back to a ball of light at the center of the corridor. A couple meters from the body, levitating just a few centimetres above ground.

From the outside, at that exact spot is the girl lying on the ground. The crowd surprised by her sudden aggression earlier is even more confused to see her suddenly lose consciousness in the middle of a sprint and falling on the floor. The spot where Daisuke supposedly wrecks the wall and window is also same us usual, no damage whatsoever.

"The 'Imaginary Space' or Kyokan separates the physical and spiritual realm and create a temporary new space. This way, the humans won't get harme-" as Daisuke's explaining the principles, the ghost pays him back with a palm thrust that sends him flying across the classroom. Breaking the wall and the tables along the way. Mizuki now sees it's real form. A red eyed, slender silhouette with no other facial feature. The girl remains stuck in the hole in the wall, but now standing tall before her is this black mass of human mimicry. It vaguely has the silhouette of the girl but with none of her discernible facial features aside from the shape of the eye, now a red glowing ball of anger. It didn't pay any attention to Mizuki and continues to attack Daisuke. Roaring and hissing like it's warning him to go away.

"Oy oy where's your manner? I was having a conversation there." Daisuke stands back up, brushing off the debris. He creates two blades and readies a battle stance. The ghost pounce at him, trying to bite at him and scare him away but Daisuke is here to fight.

As they're both busy fighting each other Mizuki just watches. She observe how Daisuke creates his blade from SP and tries her best to comprehend the process.

'how does he do that? Maybe... if I can shape my Reichitsu too...'

She ponders the technique. And start recalling Daisuke's words

(They are what you think they are)

(This is the only shape your Reichitsu ever knows)

(.. Recreate..)

(.. Recall...)

(... Remember...)

As she's thinking back on all the things she'd learnt from him, her hands starts morphing into different shapes, and her SP follows suit, like the thin end of a fire, stretching and circulating around her arm, flowing and gathering at the base of her palm. Simultaneously coming to be and moving, a grabbing motion. Mizuki recalls the experience of holding a knife, using a knife as vividly as she can.

As Daisuke's struggling with the ghost he turns to Mizuki

"Mizuki kun, have you figured out how to use the umbrella? It's already thinking of running away-"  he'd land a few slashes at the ghost, it looks hurt and very defensive. Retreating more than before.

"Don't worry Kishimoto san, I've figured it out now!" Mizuki exclaims confidently.

"Oy don't do anything rash-" as the ghost notices Daisuke being distracted, it escaped his cornering it and aims for the shortest escape route. To which Mizuki is blocking the way "I've got this!" she remarks as it head towards her.

"No! Get away Mizuki!" Daisuke warns. But it was too late, the ghost is too close to her and desperate to punch a way out, Mizuki tries to stop it, revealing a different tool than the one Daisuke gave earlier, a makeshift knife supposedly, but the crafting process is incomplete and her hand is merged together with the knife.

'as long as I have a sharp edge, I can use it as a weapon. This should be good enough' her thoughts as she finished the knife earlier. But Mizuki's movement is too amateur and the ghost have animal like reflexes, not having enough time to evade her attack, it reflexively claws her hand out of the way before passing by her. The ghost viciously tears apart her knife infused arm from the palm to her shoulder. Mizuki anticipated the attack and was planning to halt the ghost with the umbrella if it does take this course of action, she already had a counter attack in mind.

However, she never thought that the ghost tearing away her arm would actually be painful

(Well even if anything happen to you it won't harm your physical body so it's a good learning experience)

she recalls his words earlier before deciding on her attack plan. This pain from having her SP form arm torn apart feels almost like having her actual arm torn apart, and for a moment that's what she imagined she saw from the sheer pain.

"AAAARRRRGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Mizuki screams in agony.

Seeing her fell on the floor from the pain, Daisuke swiftly dashes and grabs her escaping through the floor. For an instance, the crowd heard her screaming before it got cut off.

Falling through the floor, he spots the ghost jumping down using the girl's body,

'it's trying to finish the possession. Like I'll let you!' before gravity took him pass that current floor, within that one second window, he threw an SP spear that stabs the ghost and forcibly rips it off the girl's body and out the building through the wall. On the next floor, Daisuke jumps outside the building through the window as Mizuki's SP form breaks and she returns to her physical form, an SP coating on his hand covering her mouth serves as a soundproof cushion to silent her screaming in pain. In 3 seconds, he took Mizuki out the building without so much of a trace other than split second of her audible scream.

Outside, Mizuki is still crying in pain, her body had already returned to physical form after that attack from earlier. Even though, her actual arm is fine without a scratch, the phantom pain still lingers and she's still in shock from the very gory wound she experienced. She sweats intensely as if her life is in real danger. Daisuke can feel her heart beating rapidly as he holds her tightly and bring her out of the building, into the forest.

"Good grief, what did I tell you..."

He looks at her sympathetically, the shock from the intense pain made her faint. Then he turns his gaze deep into the woods behind the school, something is moving away in the distance, limping on one leg. The failed ghost, it gave up on seeking for an easy victim to terrorize and prioritizes escaping the place.

"You're just looking for an easy meal, how unfortunate..."

He took out a glass bottle on one hand, a very small glass bottle that could fit in his palm, on his other hand, a dagger.

"...That you have to run into me..."
