who is this little girl?(2)

Hearing the little girl's arrogant tone, Alvin retorted, "Eye god? Who, you? Little girl, tell me right now how you snuck into my mind!"

Alvin continued in a threatening tone, "Let me tell you something. The book you were sleeping on is not some ordinary book; it is a monster that will eat little girls. If you obediently get out of my mind, I will tell it not to eat you. Otherwise..."

Alvin tried his best to scare her. Actually, he was also a little scared. After all, a normal person can't enter his mind without him knowing. He was 100% sure this girl was something evil, so he could only rely on the golden book to scare her.

"Who are you calling a monster? I am the Eye of Intent, you idiot," the little girl retorted angrily.

"You are the sound that came from the book, the one who talked with the Demon Sovereign," Alvin was stunned. He could not relate the majestic voice that came from the book with this cute little girl. It's too much of a contrast.

The little girl flew over to the golden book and sat upon it, saying in a bored tone, "Yeah, it's me."

Alvin asked again, "Seriously?"

"Are you deaf? Do you want me to repeat the same thing a hundred times for you to understand?" the little girl became angry.

"Wait," he blurted, "okay... okay, I believe you. But how did you suddenly become like this?" he asked puzzled.

"Oh, it's because I absorbed your demon bloodline into me, so my bond with you became 100%, and I used your life essence to take this form," she explained lazily.

"My essence?" Alvin was confused.

"Every living being in this universe has yin and yang energy. It doesn't matter whether it's male or female; it's just that males have more yang energy than yin energy in their body. I just used the yin energy in your body to take this form," she explained, swinging her legs back and forth while sitting over the book.

"Now get lost, I want to sleep," the little girl shooed him away while yawning.

Alvin was speechless. Damn, this is my body, and you are kicking me out. Do you have any shame?

"So what should I call you?"

"Eye god... call me Eye god, that name you usually call me. I like it," she said with a grin on her tiny face.

Alvin took a deep breath. He was not as afraid of the golden book as always. After all, who can be afraid of such a cute loli?

"Fine, I will call you Little Eye from now on," Alvin said with a smile.

The smile on the little girl's face stiffened. "Eye god," she insisted.

"Little Eye," Alvin countered.

"Alvin, you've changed. You used to respect me like a god, and now you have the courage to speak back to me. Do you believe if I tell you I can kill you with a flick of my fingers?" she threatened, puffing her cheeks.

Alvin scoffed. "Who are you threatening? I've had enough of it. Anyway, from the day we merged, you've been making me go through hellish pain that I even thought of killing myself. You'll be called Little Eye, and that's final. Do whatever you want. I'm not afraid of you anymore."

"You..." Hearing Alvin, the little girl wanted to say something back, but she was at a loss for words. She couldn't do anything to Alvin as well, since she and he became one. Anything happening to Alvin would be the same as her hurting herself.

"I won't respond to you if you call me Little Eye, hump," she grumbled, turning away.

After some moments of silence, when Alvin saw the little girl still sitting on the book with a pout on her face, he could only give in to the little girl's antics temporarily. After all, he needed answers from this loli.

"So, my dear Eye god," Alvin began tentatively with a smile, "when the Mother of the Universe gave you to me, she told me that you can see meaning behind everything and make that meaning my own. Is it true?"

Alvin asked the question that had been puzzling him ever since he acquired the golden book. But much to Alvin's surprise, the little girl asked in a puzzled tone, "Mother of the Universe? Who is that?"

Alvin froze. "You... you don't know her? But... the book... were you not one of the Mother of Universe's special powers?"

The little girl shrugged. "What mother, what father? I was born at the time when the universe was born. I came into existence from nothingness, and you are the first and the last one who will have me. How could I be a special power of some mother or father?"

Alvin's mind reeled. Everything he thought he knew was thrown into question. This little girl, the embodiment of the book's power, had no idea about the Mother of the Universe.

"What do you mean?" Alvin stammered, confusion clouding his mind. "You're not one of her powers? Then everything she said about you was a lie?"

"Not really, but let me tell you one thing: I am not some random copybook that will record anything you see," she said while laying down on the book.

Alvin raised an eyebrow, a sliver of annoyance creeping in. "So, what are you then?"

"I only allow those that are qualified to become part of me, to be recorded in my pages," she declared, a hint of pride in her voice.

This piqued Alvin's curiosity. He leaned closer, his gaze fixed on the little girl. "So, what makes something qualified to enter your pages?"
