Way Of Cultivation(1)

Seeing how happy Alvin was, Little Eye interrupted him. "Don't be so thrilled. Despite the incredible potential of this body type, there exists a fatal flaw. Your physique must possess sufficient strength to contain the immense power unleashed upon activation of this body type and the merging of various laws within your body. Otherwise, the consequences could be catastrophic - your body might simply explode."

Alvin, who had initially been riding high on happiness, suddenly plummeted back to earth. With a bitter expression, he asked, "Then why did you claim this body type to be the most powerful in the world? Isn't it essentially a self-destructive ability?"

"I said your body must be powerful enough to contain that power, which means you just have to cultivate your body to an equivalent level so that it can contain that power. Now stop showing that pathetic look on your face," Little Eye scoffed at Alvin, who now had an expression as though someone had cheated him.

"You should have mentioned that earlier," Alvin instantly cheered up upon hearing Little Eye's words.

"Now go, I'm feeling sleepy. Don't disturb me," Little Eye said while rubbing her eyes.

Alvin nodded, and just as he was about to withdraw his will from his mind space, he suddenly thought of something and asked, "Hey, you didn't tell me how to earn wisdom points."

Little Eye gave him a look as though he were an idiot. "Didn't I tell you wisdom points are present in the soul of a life form, so the simplest way to acquire it is to just kill it. Don't you have this much of common sense?"

Ignoring her taunt, Alvin exited his mind space. When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying on his bed. Alvin stared at the ceiling of his room for some time, contemplating everything that had happened. Slowly, at some point, Alvin drifted into sleep.

"Brother... wake up, brother, Mia brought chocolate cakes for you."

After a peaceful sleep, Alvin was woken up by someone. When he opened his eyes, he saw his little sister Mia staring at him while holding a small carry bag. The little girl's face was full of smiles. As Alvin sized her up, he saw her wearing a new set of clothes. Although she still appeared frail, with the new set of clothes, she looked like a porcelain doll.

"Grandpa, you don't have to buy all these. We are used to living a poor life," Elena, who was now standing beside Alvin's bed, said with a smile to Grizzle, as she saw the bag full of sweets and clothes Grizzle brought.

"Stupid girl, who do you think you are speaking to? Even though you are mother of two kids now, for me, you are still the little girl who used to cling to me wherever I go," Grizzle scolded Elena with an angry face. "If you try to play like a big lady in front of this old man, believe me, I will beat the hell out of you."

Being scolded by her grandfather in front of her children, Elena was embarrassed. "Fine, fine, do whatever you want," she conceded.

"Don't worry, Mom. Grandpa has a lot of money. He said even if he buys the entire market, it is like buying a candy for him," Mia also said from the side. Elena rolled her eyes at the little girl who was grinning from ear to ear.

"Well, the only thing a blacksmith and an alchemist don't lack is money," Grizzle said with a nonchalant expression on his face.

Alvin's mouth twitched at the old man's answer. Here, he had to work like an ox to earn a mere ten copper coins, and this old man was talking about buying the entire market as though it were candy.

"Brother, here, eat it." Mia took out a chocolate cake from the bag she was carrying and handed it to Alvin. She then ran over to Elena and handed her one too.

Grizzle, who was watching the little girl while caressing his beard, said with a smile to Elena, "This little girl is really like you when you were her age."

Elena smiled and took the cake from Mia's hand. Her eyes were somewhat moist seeing the happy smile on her daughter's face. "I was really afraid of something happening to these two little ones if I suddenly died one day, but now I feel like a burden has lifted from my heart."

"Mom..." Alvin called out to her with a heavy heart. Her illness had always been a thorn in his heart. His biggest dream was not something like having a big house or having a lot of money like other poor children who grew up in the slums; it was to cure his mother's disease and see her smile like when he was little.

"Stop it, Elly. There is no illness in this world that doesn't have a cure in this vast universe. We just have to find it," Grizzle spoke up.

"You don't understand, Grandpa. Raven went out to find medicine for my illness, but he didn't come back. One way or another, I am responsible for taking their father away from my children," Elena said with teary eyes.

Mia hugged Elena's legs when she saw her mother was crying. Alvin also remained silent; he didn't know how to comfort her.

"Don't be silly. He will be fine," Grizzle said with a sigh.

Elena slightly nodded; she was also living in hope that he would be fine wherever he was.

"Hey kid, since you said you want to study forging, come to my shop tomorrow. Your body will be fine after you eat something and have a good sleep. Although I am a well-known blacksmith, I don't have a successor till date. Let's see if you can be one," Grizzle said to Alvin as he stood up. He gently stroked Mia's head and said with a smile, "Grandpa will leave now. Take care, my little cutie." With that, he walked out.
