Eye Of Intent

Mia, who was playing with her broken doll, ran over to Alvin when she heard him calling her.

"Big brother, we were waiting for you to have dinner. Come fast... I am hungry," Mia excitedly pulled Alvin towards Elena's room. Since Elena is sick, they always eat food in her room so that she doesn't have to move around during meal times.

Usually, they would have to push most of their days forward with starving stomachs since Alvin has to spend most of his earnings on Elena's medicine alone. But now, since all those expenses are looked after by Grizzle, they could enjoy food like normal families.

"Alvin, how was your class in Grandpa's forge today?" Elena asked when she saw both of them entering her room. She was lying on her bed weakly, and her face looked much paler than when Alvin saw her in the morning.

"It has been good, Mom," he sat beside her and asked in a worried voice, "Didn't you take medicine this morning? Why is your sickness acting up again?"
