Chapter 121: S Class Hero, Genos!

Inside the large dome, where countless people sought refuge from the invasion of the sea folk, fear hung heavy in the air.

The atmosphere was thick with dread as they watched, helpless, while one hero after another fell to the monstrous being that called himself the Deep Sea King.

One hero was sent flying out of the dome, creating a gaping hole in the ceiling, his fate unknown.

Another was embedded into the wall, completely unconscious, his chest barely rising—if at all. A third lay motionless in the center of a small crater, his eyes rolled back, foam bubbling at the corners of his mouth.

Nearby, the mangled remains of a fourth hero sparked pitifully, his robotic limbs shattered and emitting a faint, dying whine.

These were not just any heroes—they were among the best, with the highest rank among them being A-class.

Yet, they were utterly powerless against the might of the Deep Sea King!

Fathers in the shelter held their breath, their grips tightening around the hands of their loved ones. Mothers stood paralyzed, their faces pale with terror, while the cries of their children echoed miserably in response to the fear etched in their expressions.

The remaining onlookers were frozen in horror as they witnessed their final hope—the infamous new S-class hero, Genos—engaged in a desperate battle.

The young cyborg fought with a ferocity that was almost too fast for the human eye to follow.

The resounding clash of their blows echoed through the dome, each impact sending gusts of wind rippling through the air, making the bystanders shudder with fear.

When Genos first arrived, there was a glimmer of hope.

He had entered the fray with a full-power blast from his arms, unleashing a beam of energy that tore through the city, carving massive holes in its path and slamming into the monster with devastating force.

But their hopes were quickly dashed.

As the smoke cleared, the Deep Sea King emerged, wounded but far from defeated. He retaliated with a vicious strike, catching Genos off guard and severing one of his arms.

"Those who can still walk, run! Get out of the shelter!"

Genos' voice rang out, jolting everyone back to the harsh reality.

"...!"

Panic erupted like a wildfire. Shouts filled the air as fear took over.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"

"Run!"

Chaos ensued as young and old, men and women alike, pushed and shoved, desperately trying to escape the dome that had become a death trap.

The once-organized shelter descended into madness as everyone fought to preserve what little chance they had left.

"Kekeke..."

The Deep Sea King's twisted face contorted into a gleeful grin as he watched the scene unfold. With a powerful slap, he sent Genos hurtling across the dome, crashing into the wall with a resounding thud.

His evil laughter echoed through the air, "None of you monkeys will walk out of here alive!"

"Keuhkk..."

Genos grunted, his body glowing with energy as he pushed himself to his feet.

Channeling all his remaining strength, he launched himself at the Deep Sea King, who had started charging toward the terrified citizens.

The Deep Sea King noticed Genos's rapid approach and quickly adjusted his stance, clicking his tongue in annoyance, "Annoying bu—Keuhk!"

Genos aimed a fierce kick at the monster's face, landing the blow just as the Deep Sea King swung his arm, striking Genos in return.

"Monkey!!"

But Genos was prepared.

He had anticipated the counterattack and immediately launched into another series of rapid strikes, forcing the two into a brutal exchange of blows.

Each impact sent shockwaves through the dome, creating powerful gusts of wind that swept over the terrified onlookers.

Suddenly, Genos sharply increased his speed, catching the Deep Sea King off guard.

"Arghh!!"

The monster barely registered the attack before a searing pain erupted in his gut.

The Deep Sea King's face twisted with a mix of pain and fury as his massive body was launched upward, smashing through the dome's ceiling and leaving another gaping hole.

Genos immediately followed, leaping into the air with his remaining hand outstretched, "Burn!"

From Genos's hand, a torrent of fire roared out like a furious dragon, engulfing the Deep Sea King in flames.

"Not enough!"

The Deep Sea King's maniacal laughter echoed even as the flames licked at his skin. But before he could retaliate, Genos blurred into motion, reappearing above the monster in an instant.

His eyes suddenly widened as he channeled a massive surge of energy, "Lightning Eye!"

The energy concentrated in Genos's eyes exploded outward in a blinding flash, turning the Deep Sea King's vision into a blinding sea of white. Confusion gripped the monster as he mumbled in shock, "Huh? I can't see?"

Before the monster could recover, Genos didn't waste a second. He spun sharply in mid-air, bringing his foot down with crushing force onto the Deep Sea King, sending him hurtling back toward the dome.

As the monster plummeted, energy began to gather within Genos's arm, making it glow ominously.

With a fierce shout, he unleashed his attack, "Machine Gun Blows!"

A barrage of sharp, powerful energy blasts erupted from Genos's fist, raining down on the monster with relentless fury.

Each strike hit like a machine gun, pounding the Deep Sea King again and again, forcing him back into the shattered remains of the dome.

The onslaught was so intense that the structure crumbled further, debris flying as Genos continued his unyielding assault.

"You really do love your combos, don't you?"

To Genos's astonishment, the Deep Sea King's voice cut through the chaos, eerily calm and almost bored.

The monster seemed unfazed by the relentless barrage as if growing weary of the attack.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion echoed through the dome, smoke, and debris swirling violently as a massive crater formed at the edge of the structure.

"...!"

Genos felt a sudden gust of wind as the smoke began to clear.

Instinctively, he raised his arm to shield his face, but the powerful impact that followed was undeniable.

The Deep Sea King had countered, slamming into Genos with such force that it threatened to overwhelm him.

After the smoke dissipated, the scene before them was clear—the towering figure of the Deep Sea King was steadily pushing Genos down, forcing him toward the ground.

The crowd, who had just begun to flee, couldn't help but glance back, their eyes wide with fear and disbelief.

Amidst the chaos, a mother, fully aware that they were far from safe, desperately dragged her daughter away from the scene.

"Kekeke, how adorable..."

The Deep Sea King spotted them, a twisted smile of amusement creeping across his face.

"...!"

Genos's eyes widened in alarm as he noticed the monster puff out his cheeks. He realized too late what was about to happen.

The creature spit out a viscous liquid, sizzling with dangerous intent.

Genos tracked the trajectory, his heart sinking as he saw it headed straight for the fleeing mother and daughter.

Without a second thought, Genos abandoned his defense and threw himself in front of them, shielding them with his own body.

Zzz.... zzz...

The corrosive liquid struck him with a sickening sizzle, and his metallic form began to melt under its acidic power.

"N-no..."

The mother gasped in disbelief, her voice trembling as she witnessed the horrifying scene. The Deep Sea King's evil laughter echoed through the air, "Kekeke! How lucky, if you had focused on me, you might stand a chance..."

"But now..."

Seeing Genos in such a weakened state, the Deep Sea King seized the opportunity. He grabbed Genos's now-disabled body and, with a cruel grin, hurled him against the wall.

"Ahahaha no chance at all!"

The impact was devastating, yet the monster didn't waste a moment—he dashed forward and delivered a brutal kick, sending Genos crashing through the wall.

The force of the blow created a massive gaping hole, and Genos's body was flung helplessly into the street, completely at the mercy of the monster.

"Such a fool... kekeke..."

The Deep Sea King chuckled malevolently as he sauntered toward Genos, who lay battered and broken, his body reduced to only his upper half.

The situation seemed utterly dire, with the monster towering over the fallen hero, victory within his grasp.

But just then, a voice filled with surprise echoed through the chaos, "Huh? Saitama isn't here yet? Fuck..."
