Not even an hour later, the whole of the caravan began marching again, trudging over the ridges and climbing down the rolling dunes and hills.

 

Bellal groaned and grumbled at every jolt of his makeshift cot, apparently due to his body protesting vehemently against the sudden jeering.

 

Sindbad, Jaber, and the twins took a rather relaxed pace so they were always close by if the man needed anything.

His constant demand was water.

 

Jaber couldn't help but throw a fearful look over his shoulder every now and then, expecting to see those mad men clad in black behind him every time. His uneasiness was made obvious to the rest of them, something that he hadn't expressed at all ever since they knew him a year prior.
