Zarqa was led to some kind of a large room which she had mistaken for an empty storage cellar for carpets and clothes, until the light from Marwa's oil lamp fell upon one of the lumps by her feet.

" The men sleep in another building from here," Marwa said as she gave the lamp to Zarqa and gestured for her to follow. " The women sleep all together here in the cellar."
There were a couple of chests in the corner from which Marwa had produced some dusty duvets. " They should work," she mused giving them a flick to dust them and get any bugs that might have crept inside out.
