It was 9PM , At her bachelor party Sophie drunk a little too much out of excitement.
Because of this Sophie's fiancé Nathan bought her to their luxurious apartment.
Finally, as she was able to retain some of her senses she forcibly opened her eyes & realized the painful headache that the alcohol left on her.
Squinting her eyes she tried hard to figure out a man and a women kissing passionately under the dimly lit room right beside her.
She froze for a moment and hoped to still be under the influence of the Alcohol, Because it felt like being struck by lightning.
*Shocked* Sophie couldn't even get her eyes off the two, as they Continued to kiss each other at her bedside.
Her face went all red as the anger inside her began to boil, but what she could she do besides pretending to be asleep and calm when her inside was burning with rage.
"Amber, Stop messing around , Sophie only just fell asleep." The man warned as he restrained her by the waist and forced her to the wall next to the window careful enough to not disturb Sophie's sleep.
"What....? Are you afraid your fiancé will wake up ?" Amber responded with annoyance , "You're getting married tomorrow, why don't you give yourself to me for tonight !"
"Babe.... You're such a troublemaker, let's go to the other room." The man smiled seductively as he pulled her towards him again.
"No... I want to do it here , I want to do it right in front of her." Amber said as she swiftly unbuttoned all of the buttons of his black shirt locking her lips with his once again.
Anyone couldn sense the deep passion ran through them.
Sophie laid there like dead flash , all she could focus on was to hold her tears back, but she could feel them slowly trickling down her face.
Who would have thought, the man she was suppose to marry the very next day, would be cheating right Infront of her.
She some how forced herself to go back to sleep to some how avoid this nightmare, but who can ?
"Babe.... Let's go to the bathroom, isn't bathtub your favorite place." Nathan whispered swiftly sounding a little tensed because deep down he was still afraid of his future wife sleeping unconscious right next to them.
"Alright... You head in and start filling the tub..." Amber nudged Nathan towards the bathroom in the same suite.
The moment he stepped into the bathroom, she swung around to Sophie, bending down to her with an icy grin she murmured, "Sophie, I won't let you and Nathan finalize those documents tomorrow." She inched closer, "I'm carrying his child, he is mine."
Sophie, who hadn't yet fallen asleep, clenched her fist stifling the surge of emotions, squeezing the duvet, careful enough not to make a sound.
Only when she heard the muffled noises of the pair from the bathroom, did she feel her world crumbling down..
3 Years ago.....
Sophie was once the belle of the modeling world in New York, yet she relinquished it all for this man... Passing her hard-won position to Amber Lee.
As it happened, all her efforts were just paving the way for another's bridal gown.
"No, this has to be some bad dream... Just a dreadful nightmare, it'll all revert back to normal tomorrow." The voice inside her head consoled her, persisting in raising her spirits.
However, midway through the night, Amber began making strange noises in the corridor and complained about feeling sick, leading Nathan out of the hotel.
With that, Nathan was set to leave, never to return, but their wedding was scheduled for tomorrow...
As planned the next day....
Sophie Monroe drove to the marriage bureau with a bitter smile, preparing herself for the heartbreak coming her way.
As she stepped out of her car she gave Nathan a call.....
*ringing* *ringing* *ringing*
The voice on the other side coldly answered "Amber was injured on stage, I've to deal with her urgent matter first, let's postpone the registration to another day." The man spoke.
"There is no another day." Sophie disappointedly told herself.
Sophie turned around from the main door of the office, put on her sunglasses and was ready to leave but that's when her eyes were drawn to a tall figure heading her way.
She couldn't help but notice the fitted dark blue retro suit which complimented the masculine body underneath, and out of the front chest pocket the corner of a wine red handkerchief, could be seen pouring out.
Glancing down, Sophie could see a pair of perfectly straight legs leading to a pair of freshly polished brown leather shoes which glistened in the sun.
This man had such a strong presence, like that of a medieval king.
As he got closer, although he was wearing sunglasses, his perfectly shaped face which would drive any woman crazy was clearly visible.
Sophie immediately recognized this man. He was the CEO of Collider Scope Entertainment, Noah Kingsley.
Back when she was still famous, they met at a ball for a few minutes.
"Is he also getting married today?" She thought in amusement.
"President, Miss Rose has not arrived on time, she's late by 20 minutes." The assistant behind him reported, standing in the sun trying to convince his boss to drive back without getting married.
"Ring the Miller family and tell them if they can't even be on time to a wedding then don't bother coming at all." The man responded coldly.
"But the chairman said that you must get married today no matter what, even if you were to marry a beggar he wouldn't care." The assistant replied timidly.
"Then just randomly pick a lady from the socialite families, I'll only give you half an hour." The man ordered, sounding a bit unreasonable.
"Oh !! So he's faced with a similar dilemma... Even though it's slightly different." Sophie's train of thought started running as she was moving back to her car.
Noah Kingsley was a powerful man who could simply choose any woman he wanted and, as one of the most eligible bachelors, love wasn't his priority.
His priority was to deal with the pressure from his elders to get married, so only one idea came to Sophie's mind and without giving it a second thought she took her sunglasses off, changed her path and walked towards Noah.
As she walked towards Noah she gently suggested "Noah, your bride hasn't arrived and my groom has run away." She said as she stepped closer "may I suggest we get married?" She said.
There was a moment of utter silence for Sophie's suggestion was unbelievable.
Noah's assistant froze in disbelief "how's this woman so brave."
Sophie stood straight and confident, she had gathered all her courage to do this and she didn't expect this.
Noah removed his sunglasses revealing a pair of dark, ink-like eyes. His pupils glimmered like diamonds.
After a short moment, he turned to his assistant and ordered, "Give me her details."
"Of course." Though Noah's assistant already knew who Sophie was, he quickly grabbed his cellphone and did a quick research for Sophie's name and offered the findings to his boss.
Two minutes later, Noah's lips twitched ever so slightly as he responded with one word, "Okay."
Sophie chuckled in excitement, because she thought meeting Noah was the luckiest thing that had happened to her.
He had no reason to use a woman, nor did he require love, and last of all, he didn't have any shortage of women to sleep with.
Ultimately, she got Nathan to regret his decision.
The couple's wedding procedures were done quickly. In just half an hour, Sophie held the marriage certificate in her hands. From now on, she was a married woman.
Her face revealed how taken aback she was.
"Mr. Kingsley, may I have some words with you?" Sophie asked as they walked back to Noah's Rolls Royce.
"Get in the car," Noah more so ordered than said, while putting his sunglasses back on.
Sophie followed him and after getting into his car, she nervously looked at Noah before requesting, "Thank you for marrying me. If you need anything from me in return, please tell me. I will do anything. However, I have two simple requests. I hope you can promise to abide by them."
"Speak," Noah responded tiredly as he loosened his collar.
"Firstly, unless you have no choice, don't reveal our relationship. Secondly, don't interfere with my matters. Don't worry, since we're married I won't get close to any other man." Noah was listening to Sophie's requests while typing something hastily on his laptop. He gave a slight smirk, a dangerous aura swept through the car.
"I promise you, but after I give you some time to tidy up your past, I want to have a trial marriage. After six months, I'll publicly announce our marriage."
"Thank you," Sophie nodded.
"Also, I don't believe in married couples living separately, so in three days, pack your belongings and move to a place of my choice. My assistant will be in touch with you."
Sophie had no objections, since they were now married a request like this was reasonable, so she obediently nodded her head as she replied, "I agree."
"Good." It was a calm silence in the car for a few minutes and after the two reached a verbal agreement, Sophie got out of Noah's car and left.
Noah's assistant sat in the driver seat and looked at Noah from the rear view mirror, "Shall we return to the office or would you like to return to the mansion to give the chairman the news?"
"Follow Sophie and report her every move to me," Noah ordered before stepping out of the car.
Suddenly asking him to marry her, something must have happened, the assistant thought, baffled.
As the president of an international entertainment agency, Noah had of course heard of Sophie before, once a famous model in the industry.
Three years ago, she suddenly rejected an offer from the top entertainment agency Star King, resulting in her getting blacklisted.
Eventually, she announced she would be signing with Global Pictures Entertainment and became a hot topic with the boss Nathan Davis.
