70. Go out.

Neriah had no idea how she had made it through that night, but she had. He hadn't teased her further, neither had he asked for anything more. He just hadn't let her go, remaining in that position buried deeply in his arms. Of course even that much skinship was too much for Neriah and she had tried to fight from his hold but had quickly realized it was in her own best interest to remain still.

So, still she remained, like the log of wood she had said she was. And at one point she had fallen asleep. She had woken up to the pleasant smell of food in the room and saw him seated at the table, as per her stubborn self she had refused to have breakfast with him and only ate after he left the room.

Just like that another day on the ship slowly passed away, and so did the night, just like the one before.
