"Neriah, that is enough!" Barak almost raised his voice but controlled it and glared at her. They were taller but she was not going to be intimidated.

"Bar, do not speak to her in that tone." Regina said with concern and Neriah scoffed yet again.

"You should listen to her, Bar," Neriah said. "Do not speak to me in that tone. I am your wife, not your little sister!"

"And you should be grateful for that fact," he said and took a step closer to her, "because if you were Rakima I would have slapped you for the disrespect you are showing to someone who has done nothing but shown you courtesy!" He retorted.

She was angry, so angry that she fiercely wanted to strike him, but then again she controlled herself. She was outside, his knights were all around, she'd ruin his reputation as prince if she did something like that… lords! Why did she care for his reputation?!
