Comprehending an intent

The sound of water droplets hitting the leaves still attached to trees and the decaying leaves on the ground echoed in a cavern.

Standing outside the cavern was a man wearing a golden hat. Tightening his grip around his sword, he walked inside. 

When he arrived at the room where Leader Zhong's corpse lay, he brought out a talisman and poured his energy into it.

The talisman lit up with blue flames and transformed into a translucent blue bird. 

[I've completed the mission.] 

The bird scanned the room and flew away. Following the bird outside, he stood atop a tree and watched as it vanished into the clouds. Gently, he landed and continued his journey in silence.

As Li Chen walked, water kept dripping down the round edge of his hat and his robe. 

His eyes were serene as he watched the rainfall, somehow finding beauty in its pattern.

Subconsciously, his steps slowed, and he came to a halt.
