Vengeful Spirit

As darkness covered the entire city, the hustle and bustle reduced drastically, but night work continued.

Li Chen sat cross-legged inside the biggest room in the manor. He sat on his bed, meditating.

After a while, he opened his eyes and puffed out. His breath was visible!

His eyes narrowed.

'I guess it wasn't just rumours. There's indeed a vengeful spirit tormenting this manor.'

He exited his room and looked at the long, bright corridor lit by the lanterns he bought earlier today.

Before his eyes, all the lanterns died out, plunging him into darkness. Li Chen chuckled.

As he snapped his fingers, the lanterns lit up, but they died out in the next moment.

Li Chen began to walk through the corridor until he arrived in the main hall. Turning, he saw a pink-robed woman sitting on the biggest chair.

Her skin was pale, and her long black hair was tied to a bun. She wore a beautiful pink robe that brought out her womanly curves.
