"Klaus, this isn't the time or place," I said firmly, trying to diffuse the tension. But Klaus seemed unperturbed by the growing animosity in Steven's eyes, and he clearly didn't mind the fact that his bloodlust was all over the place.

"Relax, Lisa," Klaus said with a casual smile. "I'm just here to talk."

Steven stepped closer, his eyes burning with hate and disgust, and fists clenched at his sides. "You need to leave. Now." He commanded with a fierce intensity. Klaus chuckled, clearly enjoying the reaction he was provoking. "And who are you to tell me what to do?"

"I'm her colleague," Steven replied, his voice steady but low with anger. "And you're not welcome here."
