The Red Queen of Nothing

It all happened fast—at first Xander was just interrogating her and next thing it felt like the world about them was dissolving into chaos.

The arrow he released flew behind them, for the rider of the dragon that materialised in thin witho Vinn knowing. But the rider, a masked man, easily dodged the arrow while propelling his equally dark dragon towards them.

Xander dragged her by the arm as he fell to the ground, forcing her to freely land on him as she narrowly missed the dragon's paw lifting her from the ground.

It was so strange—having graduated recently from the academy, she had only been taught to fight witches, never did she think she would find herself in a situation where she would have to fight a dragon and its rider.
