Royal Renegade: A Princess' Villainous Journey

When Alister opened his eyes, his brain blanked out for a moment because there was only darkness that greeted him when he woke up again. Alister couldn't see or hear anything in that place. If it weren't for the sound of his breathing and heartbeat, Alister would probably think that he was dead already.

Alister only really realized when he heard the sound of footsteps from outside. From the fast but regular way he walked, Alister could guess that the person doing it was a nobleman. However, a normal noble would not possibly go into a dirty and smelly dungeon. Unless they had to come for something truly important.

What was even stranger was that the footsteps stopped right in front of the iron door that locked Alister inside. Alister wakes up and waits to see who will visit him. The sound of a lock being opened was heard. Even so, the door was not immediately opened from outside after that.
