When no one else visited her room, Melisa could feel the feeling of loneliness again. Only then did Melisa realize that Alister was no longer with her. Her gaze quickly darkened. Unfortunately, even though Melisa really wanted to cry at that moment, no more tears were coming out of her eyes.

'I will not ask you to forgive me for making this decision because what I did was unforgivable. I have dragged you back to the kingdom that took everything from us. I, the selfish one, would rather see you live in torment than see you and our child die because of my helplessness.'

Melisa opened Alister's last letter, then read one of the paragraphs once again. Melisa memorized Alister's handwriting after they had been together for so long. She knew that when Alister wrote his last letter, he was confused because his writing seemed unstable this time.
