Along the way, Raoul was so nervous that seeing Ariana was a big deal. After they were almost out of touch due to their busy schedules, Raoul was afraid that Ariana would feel awkward if they suddenly met. However, Marquis Curtis had assured him that Ariana would not be angry even if Raoul came without making an appointment beforehand. That point alone proved that Ariana did have a soft spot for the king.

Raoul's heart skipped a beat when Captain Allen informed him that they had managed to enter the gates of Alison's residence. Ariana made it easy for him to came whanever he want. Raoul's ears slowly turned red as he felt ashamed of his thoughts.

As soon as Raoul got out of his horse carriage, the man saw that Ariana was also ready to go somewhere in her carriage. The king suddenly felt he couldn't say anything. His spirits dropped when Raoul felt his visit to Ariana was disturbing the duchess's activities.
