Prom1

'Why prom so quickly. I didn't plan for it. Oh no.' Just as she was soliloquizing Zach called.

"Hey joy"

"Hi"

"Have you heard about the prom?"

"Yes ,I have heard about it. My friend told me a few minutes ago" joy said rolling her eyes

"OK then. See you tomorrow in school"Zach said hanging up

'Huh' she quickly eats her food,put her phone in airplane mode and went to sleep.

Morning

Alarm ringing 'oh no. I didn't even enjoy the sleep.' She stands up and brush her teeth, takes her bath and dresses up. She goes to the kitchen and prepares noodles for herself. She quickly devours it, strap her back pack to her back and drinks some water. She went to her room takes her phone and removes it from airplane mode. She leaves the house and lock her door.

Luckily for joy she saw a cab approaching her way. She quickly stops it and hops in after talking with the driver.

Inside the cab she dials her mum's number.

"Hello mum"

"Hello dear. How've you been? Hope you are not stressing yourself too much."

"No mum am not. Im actually going to school now."

"OK dear. If you need some money don't hesitate to call me okay?"

"It's okay mum. I will. Where's jack?"

"He's in school already. When he comes I will call you okay?"

"No problem mum. Bye'

"bye dear"

"Ma we are here ma" the driver told her after she hung up her call

"OK.'' she gives the man her fare and gets down from the cab. She walks briskly into the university and saw some girls talking about prom. ' why are they giggling like who just saw a celebrity' she whispered and walked to class.

Valerie didn't come to class and Jennifer and she were not in good terms. Maya was with her boyfriend.

She just walked to her sit and brought out her biochemistry text book from her bag. She was reading this when she felt someone standing close to her. She turned and saw Zach.

"Hey joy"

"Hi"

"I see you are reading?"

"Yes I'm reading. Exams begins from tomorrow."

"You are no longer Shy when talking to me. That's good"

Actually joy has accepted the fact that Zach was just going to be her friend that's why she was trying to make herself comfortable around him.

"Em..Em. Yeah"

"OK. I wouldn't want to distract you since no lecture is entering our class today. Bye"

"Bye" joy said watching him walk to his friends.

ZACH'S POV

"Zach you killed it" Dan said happily

"I told you I will make her talk to me.You thought I was joking." Zach said smiling

"I thought you couldn't because she doesn't talk to boys in this university but you made her talk to you" Fred said calmly.

Among the three friends it's just Fred that likes behaving calmly. Hisv Father is into politics but doesn't have much power like Zach's father. Dan's mum was the founder of AMD company. These friends are always together. People in the university see them as best friends.

"It's okay guys. I don't want her to see me talking about her and by the way I want us to go to prom together." Zach whispered to them.

"What about Lisa!" Dan shouted attracting everyone's attention including that of joy.
