Yearning in the Aches of Love

Tired of searching, my body aching and my heart heavy, but my spirit still fresh, I continue to seek my dear, yearning for the moment we'll be reunited.

James tried to talk to his friends before catching up with Jack. Bye guys, I'll explain everything tomorrow. See you soon, he said, trying to keep his voice steady despite the turmoil inside. He forced a smile to make sure they wouldn't be stressed and jokingly remarked, Alex, don't drink a lot. No one will take you home. Guys, see off Alex when he's had his drink. His laughter lightened the tense atmosphere in the bar, and although they all started to complain, they at least smiled at his jokes.

He waved and headed to Jack, his heart heavy with worry.

In the karaoke bar, their friends were worried. One tried to follow Jack and James, but the rest disagreed and added, "Let them do it alone. I think it is better we don't make their work much harder. They will come back and share, so we should wait for the time being. Alex explained and then stood up. He seemed tired, so he said his goodbyes, and the rest paid and left the bar together. They talked for some time outside the bar and then went different ways to get some rest.

Alex's POV:

I hope everything is fine! But who is Mia? Why was Jack so restless when he watched the video? Alex, don't think a lot. They will come back and share who she was. And who is she to Jack? He seemed worried the whole way to his dorm.

End of Alex's POV.

Jack, on the other hand, was so restless that he lost his temper and shouted at some guys who were passing by. Hi guys, have you seen this lady? Please look carefully. She is stressed and might hurt herself. Please look carefully, he pleaded, his voice cracking with desperation. The fear in his eyes was palpable, making the situation even more tense. But one of the guys mockingly said, Hey handsome, why are you looking for such a girl? She seems like a beggar. Why is she even covered in blood? Oh, maybe she killed someone?! They all laughed cruelly, and James, who was on the opposite side of the street, ran to their side because he knew what was about to happen.

Hey guys, if you know nothing, don't waste our time, James tried to intervene, his eyes flashing with anger. But Jack humbly walked in front of them and stared into the young lady's eyes, making her shake with terror. Hmmmm, I thought you wanted to add to your nonsense. Please continue, his voice full of anger and ready to throw a punch. The wise girl stepped back in fear and said, "Sorry." Then she ran off, and her friends followed her, their mocking laughter trailing behind.

Jack! Control yourself. How will we find her if you're acting like a predator with everyone? Try being calm, James tried to explain, his voice laced with frustration and fear. But it was of no use. Jack walked away before James even finished what he was saying.

Ah! This guy, how will we find her with his rambling? Who will help us?" James kicked the air in anger because they found no helpful information from anyone. His heart ached, feeling the weight of their helplessness and the urgency of their mission. Fear gnawed at him, making every step feel heavier as they continued their search.

Mia was sitting in the park the whole time while James and Jack were frantically searching for her. They were both stressed, sweating, and crying from exhaustion.

Mia sat in silence with her phone turned off, needing time alone to process what she had heard. She just sat and cried the entire time, her heart heavy with sadness.

Her silence was broken when a commotion started on the street near her. She watched as everyone rushed in that direction, so she stood up and walked slowly until she reached the scene.

She passed through the crowd and saw a young man selling cleaning soap. Because he was disabled, a lady made a scene when he accidentally fell and touched her shoe.

You dirty thing! Make sure you clean my shoe! This is a misfortune. Why did you have to fall when I was passing by? she said, her voice dripping with disgust.

Mia walked slowly, knelt down, and helped the young man stand up. She asked softly if he was okay or hurt while checking him carefully, her heart aching for him.

The beautiful lady seemed upset and shouted at Mia, Who are you to help him? Ah, you even asked if he was doing okay. What about me? I'm stained with his misfortune. Oh God, please help, she exclaimed, mockingly looking up to the sky.

"What can I say?!" Mia exclaimed, her voice trembling with a mix of sadness and anger. She looked around at everyone watching, her eyes filled with tears. Are you all enjoying the show? Or do you want more? Wait, why are you staring at him like that?! What if he was your son, she pointed at an older lady. "Yes, you. What if he was your son? Would you look at him like that?! Answer me," her voice full of hurt and disgust.

Do you know what? If he had stolen her bag, you wouldn't care! Am I right? Mia continued, her voice rising. "But he's busy selling his homemade cleaning soap, and you're all looking at him like he's a criminal. He is still a human being. He's disabled but still tries his best to earn a living. What are you doing, lady? You should apologize and move on if you don't wish to buy, but you're making it hard for him to work. Please, we are all human beings, and I think he is better than all of you. Yes, he's better, so if you're bored with your life, go watch something else or mind your own business.

Mia's voice cracked with emotion as she turned back to the young man, her tears flowing freely. She gently helped him collect his scattered items, her heart breaking for the way he was treated. The crowd slowly dispersed, murmuring amongst themselves, but the scene left a lasting impact on Mia.

Jack felt a pang of sadness and fear gnawing at his insides. Mia had been missing for five hours now, and every passing moment only deepened his worry. As he sat on the cold pavement, his mind replayed their last moments together—the laughter, the warmth of her words. Even though he was always far away from he, just seeing her smile and knowing she was health was enough for him . He was happy but now she is missing and who knows where is she and how she is doing?! It tore at his heart.

His friend James approached, his own eyes reflecting the same pain Jack felt. Jack, if you lose hope, James murmured, voice trembling slightly, "how will we find her?

Jack looked up, his eyes wet with unshed tears. James was right. They couldn't afford to give in to despair. Mia needed them, and they had to keep searching, keep hoping.

You're right, James, Jack whispered, his voice wavering. I'll be strong.

With renewed determination, Jack pushed himself up from the ground. They still had places to check, leads to follow. He couldn't let Mia down. Not now, not ever.
