After Raine got home he had a shower and went straight to bed. The next day he was back at the Leo's gym sign.

Raine stepped into the gritty, dimly lit boxing gym, the sound of gloves hitting punching bags echoing through the air. Leo, his mentor and friend after the last week, was waiting for him, his muscular frame emanating an aura of strength and determination.

"Ready to get to work?" Leo asked, a grin spreading across his face.

Leo led Raine to a corner of the gym where they could train without distraction. They began with warm-up exercises, stretching their muscles and loosening their joints. As they worked, Raine told Leo about the failure last game Leo spoke, his voice firm and encouraging.

"Listen, Raine, I know you've been feeling the pressure lately. But remember, every setback is an opportunity to come back stronger. You've got talent, kid, but talent alone won't get you to the top. You need discipline, dedication, and a hunger to improve every single day."

Raine nodded, taking in Leo's words. He knew he had to step up his game if he wanted to make a mark in the ABA.

For the next few hours, Raine and Leo drilled relentlessly, focusing on footwork, agility, and endurance. each movement in the training was calculated and precise. With every round and set, Raine felt himself getting stronger, more confident in his abilities.

As the sun began to set outside, signaling the end of their training session, Raine wiped the sweat from his brow and grinned at Leo.

"Thanks, Leo," he said, breathing heavily but exhilarated. "I needed this."

Leo clapped him on the back, a proud smile on his face. "Anytime, kid. Remember, greatness isn't achieved overnight. It's earned through hard work and perseverance. Keep pushing yourself, and who knows? Maybe one day, you'll be the one people look up to as a legend."

With those words ringing in his ears, Raine left the gym feeling more determined than ever. The road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with Leo by his side and a fire burning in his heart, he was ready to take on whatever challenges came his way.

Before the next game Raine trained hard for the week doing his daily shoots which increased his stats quite a lot raising both his FG and 3FG upgrading them to B- with the condition to upgrade being increased to 3000 and 2000 respectively.

The game against Detroit University was intense from the tip-off as this was the second game at home and with increasing confidence of the new players to the team the fans who watch have increased with Detroit's strong defense it immediately put pressure on Raine and his teammates. His relentless pursuit of rebounds gave the team multiple second-chance opportunities, while his shot-blocking ability had disrupted Detroit's inside game forcing them to the outside but with fire hands from the SG of Detroit Uni they held on keeping it close. Nile's versatility from the bench shone throughout the game. His contributions on both ends of the court provided a solid foundation for the team. With the fourth quarter underway, with the game hanging in the balance, Raine and his teammates stepped up their game to secure a decisive victory against Detroit University. The scoreboard showed a close game with Raine's team trailing by just two points as the final quarter began.

Early in the fourth quarter, Raine showcased his scoring prowess with a series of aggressive drives to the basket, drawing fouls and converting tough mid range shots to keep his team within striking distance. With his relentless attacks, he managed to tie the game with ally-op to Maximo for a powerful dunk that energized the crowd and ignited his team's momentum.

Kendrick, known for his clutch shooting, delivered in the crucial moments of the fourth quarter. With a defender draped all over him, he knocked down back-to-back three-pointers, giving his team a much-needed spark and swinging the momentum in their favor.

"Thanks, sis," Raine replied, his heart swelling with gratitude. He turned to his mother, who was beaming with pride

His Mother watched and also congratulated him and gave a huge hug as well as giving him a few seconds to wash his hands as she makes him some of his favourite food

Raine smiled, feeling grateful for the unwavering support of his family. As they gathered around the television to watch the highlights of the game, Raine couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. In that moment, surrounded by the people he loved most, he knew that no victory on the basketball court could ever compare to the love and support of his family.

Hello been a while past month has been crazy from hospitals and a funeral haven't been able to have a moments peace to write this chapter I'm trying something new with the way the match is written if it feels off and you would prefer it like previous please let me know so I can correct for next one also should I include some slice of life aswell?
